I once had similar thing at a huge Santa Monica agency. even if everyone sees it no one will have your back and will help the well-connected nutjob maintain the reign of terror. only solution is to go elsewhere and win away their clients.

What are steps she can take to document her manager's behavior. Can't escalate as mgr's boss is friends with her and hired her! A few internal freelancers and I are trying to see how we can protect all FL in the future in this position. TIA!

like

Copy1: I'm sorry that happened to you. I feel like freelancers are notoriously treated like 2nd class citizens even though the industry is moving to hire us more and more for efficiency and cost sake. I do still think it's important to document if the company supplements a large majority of freelancers and help protect each other to build a case if there is an opportunity. I'm at a tech company which is a different world than agencies but the assholes are the same (I've worked in both).

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

After a few long interview processes, I've learned that prior CPG experience is highly valued when entering any CPG industry (even in low- to mid-level roles). Can someone with experience recruiting in the space help explain the importance of the experience? Alternatively, would love to be able to "spin" my resume to help fill in the gaps that this lack of experience leaves.

If a recruiter reaches out, you have a great initial convo then they say they’ll follow-up shortly with next steps and don’t (after 7 biz days). Is it worth following-up? My sense is if they were interested they would be pushing the process forward?

An agency interviews you for 3 rounds (job involves a move). Is there value in saying “I have an offer” just to get them to say yes or no, so you can finally know if you’re moving or staying?

New Co-Bowl Leader here. How ya doin? I wanted to let you all know a few things:
1) Recruiters & Talent Folk didn’t used to have access to AAR bowl, it was only recently that we could respond to your questions, comments, concerns.
2) We aren’t going to allow trolling, doxxing, or shite behavior. This is going to be a helpful place for positive, constructive conversation.
3) We’ll be doing an AMA in the coming weeks.
4) Next AAR Live Session is September 16th, and we’re talking Portfolios!

So, hiring managers, why do you not make it a priority to get back to your internal recruiters about candidates? Why do you think it's ok to take 2,3,4 weeks to respond to emails about candidates?cont

likesmart

I know you recruiters must get tons of emails a day. For that reason, I keep my emails as short as possible. In other words, pretty vanilla. Name. Inquire. Short sentence about why I’m (cont.)

On resumes do you just want to see the company and the clients you worked for while there? Or do you want a list of all the accomplishments you did at each?
