Share your interview experience, a one to remember. I once did an interview where I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the interview. The people interviewing laughed at me, came back and nailed it.

Ok this interview I had one time required me to bilingual. I know enough Spanish to get by but I’m not a fluent speaker. Well long story short the interview started speaking Spanish to me so I got up and walked out the door. I didn’t get the job.

I went to a interview once that was for a small tech company in my hometown. I go to interview and everything was going smoothly. Towards the end my guy who was interviewing me offered me the position and bother got up to shake hands. As he got up he farted this loud, obnoxious fart. He and I just started at each other, and I just simple said “blame it on the school lunch”. He laughed and we still talk from time to time lol

I had an interview where the owner wanted to pay me partially in Subway subs....his selling point was telling me I don’t have to pay taxes on the subs.... weird guy.

I interviewed for a systems integrator role, and the boss asked to conduct it at a Starbucks. Really, it was in the back of his van, parked in front of the Starbucks. I was asked to do a few punch downs and some crimps and cat5 terminations. Then, he said, "I'm really just looking for someone who can solve problems." My sarcastic self immediately responded, "Even if I cause them?" He laughed, told me to get in the van and I was hired. We did a job that day and I worked for him for a few years during college. I loved that job, and he was an great boss.

I once forgot I had an interview in a different city. Woke up at 8am and flight was at 9am. I put on a suit and jumped in an Uber, made it on the flight but didn’t get the job (for other reasons).

I’ve been at EY for about 6 years and I am now applying for strategy roles. I know it’s competitive but things aren’t really going my way. I am getting the roles I am least interested and not the ones I really want. This is more of a rant, because I know the only way to get out of my situation is to keep trying. I am so drained and never been depressed before but I think I am starting to get there because of how exhausted looking for a job is 🥴🥴🥺🥺🥺🥺 Any success stories to get some motivation?

Case interviews scare me. I know I’m in consulting but before the interview for my current role I had never done a practice case. When I was prepping I barely ate for 2 weeks because I was so stressed and nervous. I have case interviews coming up for positions I really want and I’m freaking out again. I like consulting but don’t know if I can do that all over again just to *maybe* get the job. Any words of encouragement or tips to get me through this and prepare thoroughly? Anything helps

Interviewed for a senior technical position at a startup (about 50 employees). During the interview the CEO spent about 20 minutes answering my questions. There was no discussion about my technical skills or experience. They emailed that they are working on an offer. Is the interview process a redflag? The only technical screening that happened was the HR lead's 10 minute phone call.
