I have a networking call with a black woman (more junior than me) I’m meeting for the first time today. I want to “check in” with her but not sure if appropriate or the right way to do it. Feels wrong to ask “are you doing ok” when the answer is no one is. But also feels wrong to not ask or acknowledge the situation. Thoughts?

I have a tricky timing for switching jobs.

Current company:
- Quarterly RSU vesting 1st March
- Bonus scheduled for April payment.
- Notice period is 1 month

Option 1. Leave on March 2nd after vesting and stay an extra month (2 months total). Start new role right after. No bonus

Option 2. Leave Feb 7th (1 months notice), start new job right after and ask new employer to cover the bonus and RSUs if they want me earlier

Option 3. Ignore the money and just leave after notice.

Thoughts?
