I booked a hotel stay (at a Marriott Autograph Resort) in Belize for the end of May. Today I get a notice that the reservation has been canceled because the price I booked it at was apparently a glitch in their system. Any suggestions on how to handle this and who to contact? I have left a message with the hotel to call me back. Glitch or not, just canceling my reservation like that is incredibly unprofessional. I had booked flights already.

Looks like a massive Exodus happened in Deloitte? Trying to staff a project and there is literally no one to staff with (at least Salesforce practice) and we are having to reach out to contractors. Is this a result of layoffs that happened last year and folks are purely unhappy with pay (not considering project pressure as that can vary/be subjective)? My SM told me that I have to be conscious of racial diversity when selecting a candidate for my project team. It seemed like they were very very careful with their language. Does this mean I have to pick a URM? My project is already majority URM, so wouldn’t adding another URM make it less racially diverse?

As you may see, I am a partner in my firm. Been around a while. I am of the opinion that the way we and every other consultancy is organized and operated is sub optimal and not good for our clients or people. I am curious to hear the thoughts of people of all levels here. If you started a firm, describe how it would work. Would you have the same levels? The same measurements? The same op model? What would you do if handed a blank white board and were told to design a large consultancy?

Do analysts not get paid enough? Every analyst I have is always so focused on cheap or free food 😂🤣
