Any advice or anecdotes for an attorney looking to pursue an MBA? Currently work in a very niche area in finance and am worried specializing too quickly (I’m 1-2 years out) could be frowned upon. End goal is to ultimately be an entrepreneur of sorts (thinking small commercial real estate and investments) but don’t have strong enough business acumen to make the jump without the MBA.
PMP certification: Is there a way around the 35 hours of training/education required to apply for the certificate? I have plenty PMP experience and have study materials from someone who took the boot camp so I don’t need or want to sit through a week long course.
Is it realistic in big law to take 20 days of mostly uninterrupted vacation time a year? My firm has unlimited and my group doesn’t take more than a couple days off a year. I like the work and people but there’s no way I can or will stay long term without being able to take 20 days of real vacation a year for my health and to live my life. Firm policy says while vacation is unlimited they encourage 20 days. What’s the temperature in the room on this ?

Several third party recruiters have reached out for various positions at Kearney, Dubai. I’ve heard some not so great things from SBAs at Kearney regarding management, growth opportunities (e.g., getting stuck on MoD projects for long term), and work life balance.
