MBA, like many Master's degrees, are designed to be class identifiers. It's in the upperclass's interest to keep costs high to make sure wealthy folks can get their elite degrees, get elite jobs, stay wealthy, and pass that wealth on to their children tax-free.
I don’t have one but as an outsider this does not seem worth the investment unless you need to either enter the business world or strong pivot your competency.

I went to a different Top 10. Was fortunate enough to have scholarship but still graduated with $80k debt. Sticker price including estimated cost of attendance is ~$240k
Which one was it
Do a 1 year program like kellogg or INSEAD
I wonder if people feel trapped carrying that much debt because you would always have to work. This would impact people’s ability to take risks and start businesses etc.
Tuition, housing, travel expenses x 2 years
Try part time and get some employer sponsor. At least you eliminate opportunity cost of your salary and your employer will foot some of it.
This is the sticker price across top MBAs.

Went to a different M7 and had full tuition - still had $100K of debt coming out of it. With program fees, cost of living and participating in all the “extras” like travel it’s easily $240+ and I know people who spent more.

M1, 200k does not include housing.
Do top 20
