Any comfy flats. My friend swears by Rothys but I haven’t bit on the price tag yet

I have 3 pairs. I really wanted to like them given all the hype. They re ok in my opinion, but are also my go to shoe right now at 9 months pregnant. I can’t bend over and they easily slip on.

Birkenstocks.

Any comfortable flats or sneakers. I’m currently in my 3rd trimester and I’ve to say a pair of 10$ slip ons from Walmart have been my most comfortable pairs to wear 🤰🏽🤦🏽‍♀️

like

Clark’s, Taos, Birkenstocks, or tennis shoes!!! Congratulations!

like

Dr Scholls slip on sneakers; you'd never guess they weren't some other trendy brand.

If you need heels, Paul Greens are comfortable enough to wear all day.

Anything with arch support and comfortable. It is not the time to wear flip flops or shoes with no support. Pregnancy was when my plantar fasciitis began and basically had to wear snug tennis shoes for many years after. Your feet are supporting extra weight so treat them kindly.

Comfy slip ons that stretch. My feet swelled so bad in my third trimester

Last pregnancy I wore my 4 in heels until 8.5 months preggo and I couldn’t see my feet so started tripping. Don’t do that.

Something with good arch support!

Advice/experiences please. About 5 weeks pregnant and feel like total trash... basically like I have a flu (but 99% sure I don’t, it’s just the pregnancy). Could I or should I try to take some sick days? It feels like that should be an option (esp now with covid and unlimited sick days) but I feel like I never hear of anyone doing this. I also don’t want to tell my work what the “sickness” is. I just finished a project so no one is relying on me right this second. What would you do?

Curious how women go about deciding to take their husband’s last name. How do you reconcile with the historical patriarchy, losing part of your what has been your identity so far etc.? If it was really about having the whole family have the same last name, why aren’t more men taking their wives’ last names!

Long story short - my nanny has many conservative values - mom shaming breastfeeding in public, gender specific roles, considering boys better than girls etc. it never bothered me before and I have learned to co exist with her however now my toddler is speaking and understanding more I am worried about him being influenced by her. Further she also has comments against my SO being too involved parent & calling out son as cutie, hugging toddler etc as he is a boy. Contd..

Elon Musk says 'civilization is going to crumble' if people don't have more children. How is this true? Isn’t overpopulation the root cause of almost all our problems, specifically things like climate change, lack of housing, and traffic? I feel like a global one child policy would make the world lot better, it would reduce humanities total carbon footprint.

I don't have time to make purees at home. I buy from store all the time. I make sure it's organic and natural preservatives. I feel guilty that I don't give my six months old baby home made food ☹️

Just started working at a big law firm about 3 weeks ago in a completely different field than I expected nor wanted to be in (but I needed to start working asap). I’m just a baby lawyer but I can’t stop shaking the feeling that I don’t even want to be a lawyer. Is this just nerves? the environment? or is this an even normal feeling?

What’s the parental leave policy at your firm? Maternity vs paternity? Is two weeks paternity leave pretty standard?

I’m pregnant and have been at my job for a few months to qualify for the state family leave which is only 4 weeks. I’m wondering what others have done to prolong their maternity leave when starting a new job.
