Thanks! Do you know if that’s base salary, or total comp (base, bonus, equity)

Well, starts with affecting base salary. Then - by virtue of your bonus being a % of your base - it affects your bonus, too.

Equity is informed by your future-facing potential, by virtue of your performance and potential. Not sure how much geo comes into that.

I moved and my salary and bonus went down. My equity went up a bit - but because of my performance and potential

Working as business System analyst( BA).
Would it be a good idea to switch role to business analytics. I have worked in software projects before but have never worked in the data project. I feel bored in business system analyst so want to move to some technical role.

I’m a client relationship manager at a tech startup that’s been in tech for a little under a year. I want to transition to a CSM role but having difficulty. I have great transferable experience from my previous role at a consulting firm. Anyone have tips?

I applied to a company for an HR role and went through all rounds of the interview process (3). The interviews felt like they went well. My last interview was 2 weeks ago. I haven’t heard back from the recruiter after following up a week after the interview. I added the interviewers on LI this week to keep top of mind. Any suggestions?

Feel as if I’m constantly behind peers in terms of career progression (e.g. MBB/ FAANG) despite having a decent-ish background (tier 2 consulting and now at top tier finance company in strategy role). I find that the companies I’ve worked at have very set progression based on tenure, with no room for negotiation. I’m really ambitious/ hardworking and I am not sure where to go that would match my goals of career progression. Is it just MBB/ FAANG or is there anywhere else? Any ideas?

About to interview for a position at VaynerMedia NYC....and holy shit feedback on here and Glassdoor is SAVAGE. Should I seriously run the other way?

BCW, what’s your hiring process look like over there? Is hiring an internal priority right now? Seems unusually slow, especially in this talent market. I was approached by someone there more than two months ago, and it took almost 3 weeks for them to set up a first meeting, then another month to get to round two and it’s been a a few weeks now trying to get the next round scheduled. BTW, I am highly qualified for the role they reached out to me for. Was super interested, but this is a turn-off.

Any tips for in-house interviews with the CEO and the CFO? This would be for a senior role at a late stage, pre-IPO tech company.

The role “acting” senior or manager is a genius way to exploit someone for lesser pay.

Slight vent: I had saved up a bunch of PTO to travel a ton this year (long-term project) which obviously got kicked to the dust and I have a bunch expiring this year because of that. Was looking forward to next year (including a family trip that’s been on the calendar for 2 years), but 3 people just left the team, only 1 will be replaced, and 3 more announced parental leave in spring. I have go lives through February and feel like I’m sprinting a marathon and will never get a break now.
