Thoughts on supplements like MCT oil, exogenous ketones, etc? Worth it? Recommendations?

We’re rapidly losing staff and my stress level is the highest it’s been in a while. It’s triggering severe depressive and anxiety symptoms - can’t sleep, racing thoughts, extremely irritable, reclusive and don’t want to be around people, feeling hopeless. I feel like I’m going crazy, even with my meds that have worked quite well up until now. I want to say something to my boss, but I’m not even sure how to problem solve. This situation isn’t compatible with the way my brain is wired.

A very important person in my life recently passed. I was named after her, she raised me, we were very close, and I was at her bedside when she passed.

I always thought she was invincible and immortal, even when she was in an obvious decline. I'll never be able to hug her again and it feels cruel. I want her back. I feel empty and weak without her.

Mental health has always been a struggle for me, and I've never lost someone so close before. I don't know how to handle this. Any advice?

I work out every day, typically between 30-70 minutes (sometimes even 2-a-days) mixing in cardio/weight training/hybrid and have been doing so for the past 3 years consistently. Additionally, I eat minimal/no gluten (sensitivity) and absolutely no dairy (allergy) yet can’t seem to lose weight. Granted, with my clothes on, I feel like I look fine, but feel as if something is missing. Any advice or am I being too hard on myself ?

If you could legally jump to a higher vaccine priority through money or connections not available to the general public, would you do so?

Assume for purposes of this hypothetical that you have a job and family with a low risk profile, though extended family more at risk. Assume front line health workers and nursing home staff/residents have been vaccinated, but not the elderly or essential workers. Assume you would accelerate your and your family’s vaccinations by three months.

I feel weak. I’m not (work out 3-5 days/week, strength and cardio mix, eat relatively healthy with protein, veggies, and 1 glass of water almost every meal) but I feel like my body hurts more than usual. Wfh for almost 2 years certainly hasn’t helped and with the omicron variant, I’m finding myself inside more than I have been the past 4-5 months. I’m basically going from sitting all day to working out then back to sitting. How do you stay “strong”?

I am long distance with my boyfriend and am feeling really unsettled about our relationship. We’ve been together 9 months, and long distance for 4/ 9. I love him and am lonely while distanced, but super happy with our relationship. I’m unsettled about the future and if we will be happy together in the future. I do not want to move to where he is located and he does not want to move here. He definitely wants kids, and I’m younger and more unsure. He’s a suburbs guy, and I want lavish city life.

I’m interviewing with Deloitte for an SM position. I’ve been interviewed four times by a Manager, SM, two MDs. Not to mention a digital interview and a phone interview by the recruiter. Now scheduled for another rounds of two separate interviews by two Partners. Does anyone have similar experience? What would be the most likely outcome after the partners interview? If successful, what’s the salary expectation?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.

For 🐠 that paid off their mortgage, how do you handle insurance and taxes? Our mortgage payment includes that. We are close to paying off the house and trying to figure out what this means to our monthly payments and what process we need to follow (contacting insurance company, county, etc.).

I'm guessing that insurance bill will come in monthly/quarterly similar to car insurance. And taxes can just be paid at year end?
