This is gona sound dumb but whatever. I had a really awful year last year (divorce etc.), and I stopped praying as I blamed god/the universe for my crappy year. I recently started praying again feeling some sort of shift in my relationship with god, and wanted to visit the temple today as their website said they were open all day. I went there and it was closed. I felt really rejected and upset and can't seem to shake that.

When a recruiter shares the position’s salary range, is the top of the range often times actually the most the firm can offer? Tried negotiating past this range for base salary but recruiter wasn’t budging. Any experiences here?

Any other art teachers out there feel like every thing they do is a flop? I am a big advocate for choice and student made artwork. My administration wants some "higher quality" looking work. Which means more teacher led. Even when I do teacher led things, the students don't listen. Any tips? I'm in a title school, came in late from maternity leave this year.

Administrators: some advice. Considering the vast differences in districts, it can take a few tries for teachers to find their true “school home” where philosophies & values click. On applications, what “Reason for leaving” have YOU seen that come across as warnings or red flags? And, on the flip side, which “Reasons for Leaving” have you seen that are totally relatable/understandable and wouldn’t think anything of?

Does anyone find themselves teaching live to black screens? it started with one now almost all if not all of my students are turning off their cameras. Do I just have to get used to this? I'd much rather teach to eye contact to know I'm not just talking to myself! Is it just me?
