Got offered "Lead Analyst", Rank 44 in Consulting. Not able to find this position in the hierarchy. Can someone help me understand this position, usual YOE of this position and designation/years to next promotion. YOE - 3.3, Tech - Azure Data Engineer
Do the increased fees to clients and lower commissions to wholesalers raise any alarm to those invested in PIMCO Income (PONAX)?
To all consultants out there: I am rather introvert and quite confcall - how did you learn to boost your confidence? Culturally I come from a region where self promotion is seen negatively. You always down-play.
How much does a home grown consultant at Accenture in Strategy and Consulting in Chicago typically make? Started at Accenture as a CDP analyst right out of undergrad for context, would hopefully get promoted at the end of this year. I currently make $85K. I am trying to get a better idea of what the consultant raise is so I can evaluate if I can afford my rent raise at the end of the year. Additionally, can this be negotiated?
Started at PwC in fall of 2016, moved to D for a raise (80->125) Watching my PwC classmates who are all Sr Associates, some on cusp of Manager. Can’t help but feel left behind as a C at Deloitte. I know I’m doing fine but man still feels like maybe I was too hasty to jump 😪
Am I aiming too high? What schools are targets and which are stretch? Received a job offer at a consulting firm as a data analytics consultant for $20k more than I am making now. I am torn on taking the job offer because my manager told me I was getting promoted at the end of the year to a data analyst. I am not sure what the salary range for a data analyst is at my current job. Should I take the job or wait it out to see what my end of year raise would look like? I really like my job and team so leaving would be tough, but this raise is something to consider.
I received an offer from another agency (Agency B) that's a 15% pay bump, but I am happy at my current agency (Agency A). I have asked Agency A for a raise to match that (not mentioning I had another offer) but it will take them a few weeks to come back to me, and Agency B are wanting a response soon... What do I do? Do I go for the money? Do I tell my boss I have another offer on the table?
Google TAM - 2nd attempt after a year Hey peeps, wanted to know is there anyone who tried for 2nd time to get a job in Google (for any role). Would like to know in 2nd attempt do they raise the interview bar or ask more hard questions ? Any inputs are appreciated. TIA #GCP #TAM #Interview #Google
At a boutique firm for just over a year, I know this isn’t the best place for my growth, but a promotion is coming. Am I better of sticking around or try to go to MBB or big 4 at an associate level?
Signed an offer last year during the worst of the pandemic for a lower level than my peers. Been with the firm 5 months now. Looking for advice: Would you recommend leaving to get the level you deserve outside of the firm with short stint on resume, or sticking through it with the firm knowing promotion is not guaranteed in same timeframe?
How do i go about using a job offer as leverage for a promotion? Possible promotion came up at my review and since then another agency has reached out to me.
Hi there! I’m being vetted for a position that I’d have to relocate for, they mentioned they’d pay for relocation. This would be my first role in senior leadership, and I’m just looking for tips on negotiating pay and other components of my offer letter. I’ve previously had an issue where I was brought in way under value, and it took 2 years to get a benchmarking raise. I just want to position myself highly upfront this time. Any ideas other than base pay I could and should negotiate? Thanks!
Does anyone know when the promotion decisions are announced at PwC? Have been hearing from Accenture and KPMG, sounds a little early to me, but wanted to check if anyone knows, thanks
I’m in audit looking to be promoted to senior in July. Wondering if there’s any reason to stay at my firm for that promotion if my goal is to get away from auditing. Thinking I might end up in advisory or even pivot farther away from accounting in general. Does having that senior title on my resume matter?
I expect the EY peeps (in promotion year) who got new jobs will be putting in their notice this week...
Would anyone move to a different firm that is unstable but gives a promotion plus 50% increase for same job?
Miscarriage earlier this year and haven’t been able to get pregnant since. How do so many people deal with the stress of TTC and sadness from loss while doing the type of demanding work we do? I’m really struggling 😔
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Any advice on how to do well when working on a project outside of your area of expertise ?
My mother is having elective surgery today and expects me to take her to the hospital, be there, pick her up etc. We are in CA, the virus is very much here! Thanks for letting me vent!
Just landed in airport nearest client city but the rental car agency (hertz) is closed. Client and hotel are a one hour drive. Am I able to even pick up a car at this point?
I left my consulting role of my own accord earlier this year (pre-COVID), primarily for WLB reasons. Notably, I was always rated a “top performer” and left on very good terms. I did not have a job lined up because I wanted to get out of the rat race for a bit and enjoy life. With the job search severely tougher than expected and repeated, explicit offers from my former partners to rejoin, I start to feel tempted. => See below...
If KPMG West Cost want to contract with me (try before you hire) for 7 months on W-2 and I’m expecting $180k a year, what should my hourly rate be?
Why is maternity leave, policy and other women's issues not important as compared to Juneteenth, coed bathrooms, and all the other issues in the media today? Women are half the population and at an average of 2.1 kids per woman, these are major issues. Are we not vocal enough? Organized enough? Not a serious voting demographic? Too grateful things are better in this generation? What is it? Why does 50% of the population matter less compared to these smaller marginal groups?
That feeling when a well meaning manager keeps ending meetings with “have a happy holiday, and enjoy some time off with your family,” and he is unaware that some of us (a) already celebrated Hanukkah (and don’t really celebrate anyway), (b) are alone and unhappy, (c) kind of have no reason to burn PTO for a non holiday when you’re alone, bored, and have nothing going on in yet another month of a terrible year. It’s like one more set of fingers on a chalk board listening to such pleasantries.
Hello there! I have been interviewing with Amazon for L6 Sr. UX Designer role. I want to understand what’s the salary range I should be negotiating for that role. I have no clue what big company like amazon and Facebook pays for someone with 10 years of experience. Any help and pointer will help me with the negotiation. Thank you.
What is the difference between an Associate Consultant role (in MBB) vs. a Consulting/Business Analyst role (in McK/Big 4/ACN)? Would the former be a step up from the latter, or they are lateral?
Is one allowed to perform an audit under his own CPA license on the side while working for a CPA (Big 4) firm in the Audit service line. Is this policy discussed anywhere in EY’s policy?
Senior 1 salary San Diego?
Question. Is it legal for the bank you have accounts with to reach into your bank and take your money without consent? What specific area of law would this fall under? Thanks in advancem
Surprised no one posted this yet but Marriott is extending their status for another year.
ACN 🐠, are you currently having your yearly performance review, and does that impact hiring? I am in the interview process with ACN, had two interviews, both went well based on the feedback I received, was expecting a third meeting, that was more than a week ago, still have not heard back. Was wondering if hiring was put on hold
