Should I ask whether I have had any write offs for my billables throughout the year, prior to my annual review in a few weeks? Or should I have been asking every month since starting?

Hi all, Need your advice on a career move. I’m currently working in France as a Security Consultant (Freelance) and got offered a new role as a Security Architect. I used to act as an Architect before and it’s great. But basically I’m eager to stay in a position where I can really develop useful security skills. The role I’m currently doing in not that technical. But the company hiring me for the Architect one is firing a lot of people right now, earning less too.. what should I go to?

This pandemic has been bad. Disrupted (prevented) exercise routine due to living circumstances and health reasons, my interpersonal skills at work have been dulled significantly. Like everyone else, there was a lot of disappointment with raises, promos etc. I'm on rejection number 17 for exit opps in the last three months as of today. I feel like a broken person. So much stress would be relieved with a new role and a little raise. What's next?
