I typically use Wilson Intensive as an intervention for students who really need phonics instruction but it is just NOT working. Anyone have any advice on other programs or tips? I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?

After two RIF’s with the EA’s they are now hiring Administrative Assistants. Do you think to many people left and now they need to replace with lower paid admins? All this disruption with seasoned EA’s just to save a few dollars.

Does anyone else struggle when communicating with their exec? Mine is someone who you need to ask lots of questions to because they change their minds every second but then they don’t respond when I ask. I’ve tried to have daily catch ups but they’re always cancelled and I just feel so unmotivated, like no matter what I can’t do a good job, so why even bother? It’s so hard to be a good EA when you can’t make decisions on your own.
