Should I be grading my students differently in a remote setting? Any alternative grading rubrics you recommend?

I’m going a little easier on them to an extent. Late penalties have adjusted big time. In most cases, I’m using the same rubric but lessening the points associated with each level deduction. They can still see what they missed, but missing it doesn’t hurt the grade as much because I wasn’t there to help as much as I typically would be.

helpful

As they adjust to the new Virtual School environment I am not grading like I normally would. There are too many variables out of my students' control that influence whether they can finish the work or not.

We aren’t allowed to grade anything or penalize if not done. 🤷‍♀️

I have been able to message the certain students who need more time or accommodations separately. This has seem to work.

Attempting to renter the workforce after a 2 year hiatus due to health issues followed by the pandemic. During this time off I had minor success running a small business, but not enough to pay the bills. I have 3 YOE, 1.5 as a Loan Officer, and 1.5 as a consultant within compliance and Fintech. Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!

We are currently building the plan for the hybrid model we will follow mid October. (No specific date yet.) We have committed to an A/B model with groups attending MT and Th/F in person, working remotely the other three days. If you have an AB model do you deliver the same content to your students each day, regardless of them being remote or in person? Or is the lesson cycle one that begins on the first day you teach in person for each group? This second model seems complicated.

A CRO offerred me an internal consulting/biz dev role. They offered 145k TC (20% bump) and slightly better benefits. They also offered accelerated path (6mo to 1yr) to MC. While promotion to MC at my current company is at least 1 year away. The job is interesting to me and fits my careery goal. But my big concern is that I've only been with my current company for a year (this is my first job, post PhD). Would this affect my resume in the future in terms of being viewed as "job hopping"?
