Does ACN give a stipend for WFH setup? If yes, can anyone share what it is? Also what’s the gym reimbursement/ other perks one should be aware of? Joining soon
I started my career with my firm in my hometown (~60k population). After a few years I decided I wanted to go to a larger city (260k population) and thought my life world change as I was a driven single 26 year old. I got two promotions, but personally I don’t feel like I have any ties to the city and had better luck dating but didn’t find the one yet. Now since WFH started I’ve been mostly living in my hometown and am thinking about moving back. Cont…
Anyone else's dog now an ERP expert due to WFH?
Ok it’s been a while. What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve seen over zoom while WFH.
Is it possible to find a 6 figure, FULLY REMOTE, solid 9-5, no work over the weekend job? 2.5 YOE. Tired of consulting and want to see if there are any options out there.
How open is EY to remote work?
I interviewed for a job in a diff location and during interviews they asked me multiple times how I felt abt relocating. I said it was fine, but the more I think about it the less I’m open to relocating. I now have an offer from them, is there anyway to negotiate no relocation? They are remote until mid year 2021. I’m Happy to fly in on a monthly basis but I don’t want to move there.
Anyone have any recommendations for a recruiter in Florida or one that specializes in remote positions? I have a nontraditional family situation (eg military) and would need something flexible location wise. Thanks!
Strongly prefer working in-person (I’m a people person) but potentially have a great too-good-to-turn-down opportunity that would be fully remote. Advice on how to make WFH better?
Attempting to renter the workforce after a 2 year hiatus due to health issues followed by the pandemic. During this time off I had minor success running a small business, but not enough to pay the bills. I have 3 YOE, 1.5 as a Loan Officer, and 1.5 as a consultant within compliance and Fintech. Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!
If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
I know this probably not the best bowl but I’m curious to hear about potential gift ideas for my wife’s upcoming birthday? She’s currently 7 months pregnant and since we’re all still WFH it is what’s making this more challenging given the usual choices of excursions / shoes / clothes etc not really good options.
We are currently building the plan for the hybrid model we will follow mid October. (No specific date yet.) We have committed to an A/B model with groups attending MT and Th/F in person, working remotely the other three days. If you have an AB model do you deliver the same content to your students each day, regardless of them being remote or in person? Or is the lesson cycle one that begins on the first day you teach in person for each group? This second model seems complicated.
Now that there’s multiple covid variants, what is the likelihood of us having another lockdown / remote work?
Does Accenture allow remote work from a different country for a few days to a couple weeks?
Which would you choose: large global ad agency known for strategy, decent clients & potentially back in office EOY or smaller independent shop based out of London, not well known in the US, also good clients & more “purpose driven” work, fully remote. Similar salaries for both
First Year Manager Salary - San Francisco - ?
Contemplating booking my parent's hotel for an upcoming vacation so they get my Platinum benefit (would call the hotel and say they would check in before me)... concerned I would have a work (cont.)
I have five weeks before I switch firms and I currently work remote, so I can travel and work. Where would you go within the US? Or is there anything else I should do? (Also ttc so no Zika)
I am 35, currently a manager, on track to get promoted to senior manager next year. I work on post merger integration/ separation. I want to break into PE (investment team). I am currently learning the basics. How should I break in? Any advice, what role should I target
A CRO offerred me an internal consulting/biz dev role. They offered 145k TC (20% bump) and slightly better benefits. They also offered accelerated path (6mo to 1yr) to MC. While promotion to MC at my current company is at least 1 year away. The job is interesting to me and fits my careery goal. But my big concern is that I've only been with my current company for a year (this is my first job, post PhD). Would this affect my resume in the future in terms of being viewed as "job hopping"?
FYI- We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office.
Broadly speaking, for a given generic consulting role, which B4 firm pays the most? Which pays the least?
Is $130k for Accenture consultant level with 9 yoe in industry, 0 yoe in consulting asking too much? I understand there are standard salary bands for different levels but it seems crazy they wouldn’t be willing to start someone higher with so much industry experience.
Would it be weird if I reached out to someone who sort of triggered my interest in a career path? This someone has an internal C level position at my company.
Does anyone have experience with asking for a lower hour requirement and a proportional salary decrease? (E.g. staff attorney, counsel, etc.) I don’t have kids (yet) but I’m fortunate in that my husband and I both have great salaries and we talk a lot about “How much money is enough” for us and would just rather have more time off/more flexibility. Life is short. 💕
Would anyone be willing to chat who made the jump from big 4 —> tech —> MBB? I did not have a great experience in tech and looking to pivot back into consulting. Went to a non-target undergrad but 10 YOE at good firms.
US - does any MBB have plans for an office in Indianapolis? Seems like a good base of clients and I’m considering mid-sized cities longer term, but want to stay on consulting path.
What is the purpose of a flipped classroom? Some teachers are doing their lessons via video so the kids are prepped before class. Then, what do they do in class?
Interviewing for a great position in industry (tech). They have equity comp & great benefits. Spoke to their HR, then interviewed with 2 people in the tax department and am getting scheduled for a next round of interviews. The only problem is: the office is about 1 hr from my house (I own). They said repeatedly that they want someone who will be in the office 5 days a week. I would actually move but can’t rent out my place now due to some repairs going on that will take 4-5 months. Thoughts?
Vacation Question- Westin vs W (Paris)?
