Have offer at interesting late stage startup, 135k base 15k bonus and approx 20-25k in stock grants annually. Feels a bit on the low side but it's a decent raise in any case (7 years consulting xp plus MBA). Worth negotiating for 5-10k more in base?

Anyone know what kind of compensation a friend should expect as a Technology Analyst fresh out of college in a Canadian office Big 4?
For data science roles, senior (L6) at AWS or post MBA level (specialist track, so same pay as generalists) at MBB? Comp is 20% higher at AWS just to start. But maybe looks like MBB has better upside - solid path to promotion to manager level with solid comp increase. But worse WLB and it's unclear to me whether MBB data scientist on the resume is up to par with big tech data scientist on the resume. Coming from big 4 so I am considering brand so I can do better with future resume screens.

Does your blazer have to have a button and be buttoned up when you appear in court? Some of my blazers don’t have buttons.
I was rejected at Netflix right after passing the recruiter screening. The reason given is that they're looking for someone who has worked on longer-term projects. I worked on my last project for 2 years and have a 6 year project on my resume as well. I guess they don't like that I've been an independent consultant for the last four years and was on 4 projects during that time. Has anyone else encountered this kind of bias against independents working on shorter-term projects?
Good news and bad news: We are expecting our first child in the next 2mo. Sadly, we’ve also just lost a close family member. As a result, we’ve come into a little money and would like to put maybe $10-15K aside to start a college savings for baby. Does anyone have experience with this? What’s the best way to go about it? I’m not hugely familiar with this, but want to make sure I understand the fees and taxes that may be affiliated with different options. Would be grateful for any insight!
Not sure if anyone can relate or has any advice, but lately I’ve been feeling a little lost as far as where to live. After 7 years in NYC, I let my apartment go and came to CO for the summer to climb and hike outside. I like the outdoor activity, but don’t think I could live here indefinitely. Now that work’s remote, I don’t really know where to go next.
Anyone who interviewed recently for Microsoft Program Manager role? How many rounds? Salary range for Redmond?

I have an interview for social media strategist with a rising DTC startup in NYC. I’m feeling imposter syndrome, since I’ve never marketed such a big, hip company. What books can I read or courses can I take to come into the interview solid and prepared? Most of my marketing theory is based on Seth Godin books and reading psychology.
