Should I be worried about covid if my wedding is in December?? I know nobody knows for sure, but just wanting to see what others are thinking!

I wouldn’t worry about covid too much for a December 2021 wedding. I assume the people who want to be vaccinated will be by then (and I don’t care about the other people).

like

Depends on the factors: size of the wedding, indoors or outdoors, masks or no masks

like

You should be ok! Feels like whoever wants to get vaccinated, will be able to do so in the summer time.

Mines in Oct and I’m not worried!

Eeeeeek! So exciting! Congratulations!! 🔔

Mine also in December and I’m feeling really hopeful!

Seems it should be fine. Here in TX we have vaccination open to all starting March 29. The other states surely can’t be far behind, which means at this rate I think we are good to go by fall.

like

We’re in Texas too! Y’all are making me feel very hopefully. All the new strains are freaking me out 😅

Mines in September in Texas and I’m not worried! I think most people will be vaccinated by then or at least have had the chance to get vaccinated.

like

Mines September and I’m starting to be less and less worried with vaccinations. It might not be 100% normal but it seems like (so far) the guest list will stay intact.

Nope, enjoy it!!

I haven't made a new close friend in years and had few to begin with. Pre-COVID, most friendships were context-based (grad school, clubs, professional associations). In the COVID era, many casual relationships have faded, even as I put in effort (that typically isn't reciprocated). I still put myself out there and go to a few events every week or so, but it seems like many are languishing too (thanks, Adam Grant) and don't have the energy for new relationships. Any advice or success stories? 😬

I have a case of FOMO I’m trying to navigate lol. One of my friends from college just told me she’s getting married in a few weeks, but I haven’t gotten the invitation. We are pretty close and we regularly call each other. I also learned that people whom she said she is not close are actually invited to the wedding. On one hand I’m trying to calm myself that she might be limiting attendees due to covid, but it’s not a great feeling. How else should I think about this?

This is a fact that fans of Trump either chose to ignore or just don’t give a damn. I find it embarrassing that people are enthusiastic about a man that proclaims that he beat it ( with a heavy dose of privilege and tax payers money) and mind numbingly claims that ‘don’t be afraid of covid’ ? This is the reality people that our president don’t like to tweet about

Should I put off having a baby until 2022? My S/O and I have always talked about having a big family. I want to start on my mid 20s and hopefully finish having kids by my mid 30s (I want 3-4 kids). Should I wait until after COVID to start having kids? Life is unpredictable so who’s to say that after one pandemic there won’t be another. I’m hesitant to wait but scared now to start trying for a baby.

Product Management - I am somewhat interested in trying to move into product management. I have led internal analytics product development at a prior firm, and have led clients through developing/improving “products” for their teams to use however I have not led “consumer facing” products and my experiences have not been as “formal” as many PM roles ask for. I work in healthcare and would want to stay there. I’m wondering if others have any thoughts on these transitions.

I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
