Started with a new law firm in a new practice area in the fall. Now I’m pregnant with my second child and due this summer. The firm offers up to 4 months of leave. I can’t think of a good reason why I would shorten my leave despite being relatively new at the firm and in the practice area. I’m honestly concerned I will resent it if I do. Would you shorten your leave under these circumstances? If so, why?

I was tested for AMH and my level is 0.8, which is low for my age (33yo). I am not planning to have kids for the next few years. My doctor urges me to freeze the eggs saying its unlikely I will get pregnant naturally if I wait few years. If have to travel to another country to do it, because where I live it's not done for "social" reasons and since I'm not diagnosed with a medical condition I can't do it here.
