I got through all the rounds of interviews (including 2 technical panels) at CrowdStrike before being assured that I was nearing the end of the process and was expected to receive an offer soon… almost two weeks ago now? Anyone else experienced this kind of delay from CS or similarly sized organizations? Did I get ghosted? Anything more I should be doing?

Hi All!
I am currently a Senior Software Engineer(Backend) with 4 YOE. My current CTC is 21LPA (All Fixed) with additional Yearly bonus. I got a call from Google (Pune/Bangalore/ Remote) for Software Engineer - Backend. I have the following doubts but any insights are welcome -
1. Does the lower designation offered make any difference?
2. Kinda ambiguous, but what kind of hike or ballpark pay can I expect?
3. Any similar interviews experiences or focus areas I should prepare for?

Never cancel! It’s interview practice. The benefit of practice to you far exceeds the time cost of the interviewer
Cancel. Don’t waste my time.
Come on this is easy. Cancel.
To go interview wouldn’t be professional at all.
Imagine you were the hiring company and being led on this way.
Thing is, the hiring company will never know your intentions because you’d never be forthcoming about just using them for interview experience. You appear to be a legit interviewee so no risk of appearing unprofessional. No job seeker should concern themselves with leading on any employer when we all know employers routinely and unapologetically lead on job candidates. Besides, something unexpected could come from the experience that you won’t know unless you go to the interview.
Taking an interview out of courtesy landed me both my dream jobs.
1) Leaving active duty army, I took an interview with EJ because I wanted the practice. I even told them I wouldn’t be a good fit. I had no idea what being an FA entailed but I wasn’t in a position to turn down interviews with any company. I got the job and fell in love with being a FA.
2) 8 months ago I wasn’t happy with EJ and was looking around. Took an interview with Principal because a recruiter found me on LinkedIn. I never even heard of Principal! Met my now mentor and my first impression was we wouldn’t get along. Moved forward with the process and I couldn’t be happier with how much has changed, both personally and professionally in the last 6 months. I owe a lot to him
Take the interview. Be honest and let them know your thoughts as to why you don’t want the job. Worst case scenario they end the interview quickly and thank you for your honesty. I’ve had plenty of interviewers say “I appreciate your honesty and dedication to your current employer. If anything changes, give me a call”. I’m still stay in touch with two other firms because of this. Both managers say “we can’t buy that kind of dedication. We would love to work with you someday” I tell them: “If my mentor ever gets hit by a bus, you will be my first call. Until then, I’m very happy with where I’m at.”
I would take it. You never know how you're going to to feel after getting a sense of how things are there. At the very least, interviews are great practice. Be honest with the interviewer, and good luck.
