Should I continue to contribute to 401k roth or should I move to conventional? I contribute the max. My employer contributes 7.5% as conventional. I’m 38 and in the 24% tax bracket.

Roth!!! You have a great match. This way you you get tax free growth and a healthy balance between traditional and Roth funds to get your tax rate low when you retire

like

I’d do traditional. You’ll have some down years in the future when you can do a conversion then

Traditional. If you retire early, u can pay taxes at discount

When contributing to a 401k is it best practice to essentially take the cost average approach and have your 401k contribution maxed at end of year vs front loading and essentially finish contributing within maybe the first four months? Has anyone ever entertained this or tried it out? Reason being the PE firm i work at- we are offered the opportunity to coinvest which is a huge sum of money.. would like to plan accordingly.

Anxiety before your sales demos?

Do these 2 things I used to do to get over it:

1. Know the product inside out - it will take time for you to gain confidence in your sales abilities but if you know the product will you’ll be more confident in that domain.

2. Do more demos - the more calls and presentations you do the more comfortable you’ll get. My advice is to try to get on a lot of presentations, even with leads that aren’t so good.

New to FIRE - When you are evaluating your FI value, do you calc expected inflation and then include an estimated increase in insurance expense? Is there an easy trick to do this?

Ex. I’m 25 now and spend ~ $36,000k a year. and want to FIRE by age 50. Obviously a lot can change since I’m 25, but if I wanted to calc FI value at my same standard of living now and account for inflation and the insane cost of private health insurance for 10 years how would I do it?

I bought my first home last year and have a 15 year mortgage on it. I have had a 800+ credit score consistently. During Feb this year, the mortgage company changed and my autopay no longer worked. I tried setting it up in March but due to technical issues it wasnt fully setup. I missed my payments for 3 months (April May and June) as I was traveling internationally and didnt receive any mails or calls regarding the same. My credit score plunged down to 618. Is there any way to fix this?

Totally new to this subject, so please pardon any ignorance. How do you recommend best making use of my savings? In my first job out of college, no debt, have about 25k saved between a standard savings account and a brokerage account. I’m able to save about 1-1.5k of my salary monthly. What’s the best way to divide my savings? Should I max out my Roth while I’m in a lower tax bracket and then prioritize 401k? What are my options, and what resources are out there for guidance and info? Thank you!
