Contemplating exploring the Boston market. I’m a c/o 2015 litigation associate in New England making $135k base ($12.5k bonus) with a 1900-hour billing requirement that I stick close to. I’ve been contemplating testing Boston AmLaw waters for more $, but I don’t know what the *real* billable numbers are at those firms. Have you ever negotiated a severance? Company ended my employment and wants me to sign a mutual non-disparagement, waive suing them, etc. but they didn't offer me any money. They are fully in the wrong, it's a disability related issue. My options are 1. Sign 2. Refuse to sign 3. Try to negotiate. 4. Sue them (contingent on attorney taking the case). I'd prefer to negotiate, but not sure that's realistic.
