Should I feel bad for working with more than 1 realtor. I’m still trying to feel out who is working in my best interest been to at least 1 open house with 2 realtors I wonder if this is normal or considered rude

I was transparent to the agents I was choosing between. They both scheduled time to walk me through their process and their plans based on my needs. I let them know my decision soon after to not waste time. I felt I made a very informed choice, had a good experience with the agent I chose, and still maintain a good relationship with the one I didn’t work with. - my experience for your reference. :)

You are like those companies who interview you multiple times just to get free consulting off of you

Have you signed a contract with either of them? Once you sign a contract it will be exclusive.

It is considered rude. If there is no signed contract you aren’t obligated to either. However, you could miss out on a great Realtor and property while trying to make your decision. These people are using their time and money search and to go to properties. Make the best decision for you but keep in mind that real estate is probably their primary source of income. As they say in real estate” time is of the essence”.

No contract my realtor was out on vacation bc the market is slow rn and a friend referred me to his realtor to see a house when my realtor was out. I felt like this new realtor is more meticulous but the other realtor was a long time family friend so trying to see which one I want to stick with for this journey

No, not fair.

Im looking to buy a home as I am currently renting. Got a few quotes from lenders and rates are averaging in high 5% but can buy down and get to lower 5% range. This won't be my forever home. Expect to turn to rental once market calms down in the next few years. Wondering if I should put a large down payment to avoid these high rates or just pay the high rates for now and invest in other areas? Then refinance later? Thoughts?

Newbie to real estate, at least for investment purposes (wife and I live in a single family home we bought last year). I've always wanted to dig into real estate investing for cash flow purposes, but the risk averse side of me always shied away from the challenge/doing the research. Any good tips/resources to study/utilize for a newbie like myself looking to learn as much as I can? Thanks in advance!

One mortgage officer locked me in at a 6.99 rate but basically said I had to pay an upfront costs at $14k to keep that rate and my total closing costs (not including downpayment) was $28k while another locked me in at 6.125 and quoted me with a $6.3k closing costs. I’m so confused.

The first one told me that I had the best rate on the market but if I wanted to lessen the upfront closing costs then I can go with a 7.75 rate and pay $20k in closing instead (not incl downpayment).
