About to ask for a raise on Friday for the first time in my life! 28 yrs old and worked in the industry for 4 yrs before joining advisory in Jan. Also have an MBA. I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

Is FDD comp higher than FAAS?

In TAS, practically all of my colleagues are CPAs. If you’re on that path already, I would suggest continuing to pursue it.
M&A as in TAS, or IB?
Pretty sure you need CPA to be eligible for a promotion to a manager in M&A DD (generally called FDD for financial due diligence) down the line.
How about RX consulting? CPA helpful or not? (I know it’s not necessary like in audit, but in terms of how it’ll affect future exits)
