I used to be a one phone guy but now I’m two. Simply for the reason that I can leave my work phone behind when I want to.

Strongly prefer having two phones, the separation has really helped me with WLB and boundaries.
Did stipend are first firm, two phones currently. Big fan of two phones. As others said, though you can ignore on your one phone when don’t want to engage, mentally still there. I found myself waking up in the morning and checking work emails before even getting out of bed. Now I leave the work phone in another room and check near the start of my morning, but it’s not the very first thing I look at.

Firm phone. My firm only does stipend and I bought my own work phone because it’s so much better for WLB

Yea I’m in M&A. It’s just much easier to leave the phone at my desk when I go to bed so if I get emails at unreasonable hours I don’t have to look at them until I’m ready to work. I also leave it at home when I run errands or go to a meal unless I have a super active matter going, and on vacation I leave it in the hotel room. Previously I was getting round the lock emails pushed to my personal phone - sure you can ignore them but the mental burden was there

Have had two phones my entire career and am never going down to one. I like the separation and being able to “put down” work for a set time if I need or want to. Also appreciate my privacy.

Stipend but keep in mind that basically let's them access all data on your phone.
Agreed. I went to two phones and it’s a hassle sometimes carrying two, but when I really want to get away I can. Even tricker is maintaining two calendars. Would love to hear any thoughts on this. I have personal calendar items on my own phone that may impact my work calendar on the other phone and vice versa. Sometimes I don’t get these in synch and end up with a conflict.

I put most things on my work calendar if they’re during the work day, and then just couple calendar if I need to
I am curious as to whether there is a gender divide in these responses, primarily because my first thought was “damn, I’m lucky to get a pocket/crossbody bag big enough to hold *one* phone”
