Should I get tested? Friends wife got covid from partying with friends. I had lunch with friend [husband] the next day. Then he tested positive. It’s been 2 days. I’m vaccinated. Scared shitless right now.

Go for it. There is nothing better than peace of mind. Chances are you’ll be okay given your vaccination status but you can still be a carrier if you’re asymptomatic.

like

Just get tested. It’s easy. And if you test positive, quarantine for two weeks. If you have it your symptoms should be relatively mild because you’re vaccinated. Better to know so you don’t potentially spread it to others.

Sure, go for it? Getting tested is easy. Not sure why you’d be debating it

like

Two days is the bottom end of the incubation period, so go ahead. Maybe get tested again if you start exhibiting symptoms

like

Wait five days after exposure then get a test.

like

Isolate. Get tested in a few days.

like

I was negative yall.

You should be fine. If they’re vaccinated and you are, transmitting that early after exposure is statistical improbable to the point of impossible. It doesn’t act that fast, and if it did, he wouldn’t have likely given it to you that early. If you have symptoms, usual cold stuff, get tested. My buddy lost taste a week in despite the vaccine and should’ve gone sooner bc he already felt like crap.

like

Give it a day, isolate, get tested if you don’t feel well.

like

You’re vaxxed. You’ll be fine. Get tested but even if you have it— symptoms will be way less than if you were not vaxxed

like

Get tested. But you don’t need to be scared shitless, because you’re vaccinated. Even if you are positive, your symptoms will be extremely minor

Did y’all have lunch outside? Did you spit in each other’s mouths? Why are you scared shitless?

I got one of those binax tests from cvs and I’ll test again this weekend from cvs.

How did it go, OP?

like

You had lunch with your friend the day after she partied? If so, that’s like secondary contact I guess, you should be good. Otherwise, get tested.

like

You're worried for no reason. Do you have an auto-immune issue? Over 70? If not, you're likely going to have cold symptoms, but more likely none at all.

like

If it gives you peace of mind, why not?

like

Go for it; it’s best to know and treat it than not knowing and not treating it. Prayers with you 🤗

like

You can buy tests over the counter at Walgreens now. Just get one of those.

like

Of course you should.

like

Scared shitless? You’re vaccinated. You should maybe turn the media volume down a bit.

Well, idk man, I'm always on the side of do you... so, you do you

When did friends wife get covid? The day before the lunch or several days? It takes a few days for the virus to incubate and spread in the body. I wouldn’t be worried. Even if you have it, you should have mild symptoms like a sore throat.

The wife isn’t sure who she got it From but she’s started experiencing symptoms late Friday night early Saturday morning. I just needed to know what’s the earliest I can take a test and know it’s not going to Give me an error result if it’s “too early”

I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..

He then says if you do 20% of the clients for 180k you tell me how much you want of that 180k. Okay so how do i say i want at least half of that when i have 1.5 years experience.... current associate said he made 40k year one and 50k year two...soemthing doesn’t add up???

A colleague shared with me the presentation they have prepared for their promotion case. I worked with them on multiple projects during the year and I can clearly see that some of the claims on the deck are wild exaggeration or lies. For example, managed changes in scope for Project X including contract changes. Plot twist: there never was a change of scope for Project X and the contract is exactly the same. How can people be so dishonest? How far can you go before truth catching up?
