Should I leave IB? I feel like I like where I am but I am also not fully aware of the glorious life on the buyside

Could anyone elaborate on or point me in the direction for info on AUSAs, when it comes to restrictions on trading securities? I know the SEC is very strict and has a blanket rule for all attorneys, but not sure about DOJ attorneys (and whether it depends on what office/unit/section you’re in).

I have been offered a job at Deloitte USI support services as an Enabling Consultant - Project and Program Management (Global methods and tools consultant). The job is primarily to be a Coach. Is this a good opportunity? I aspire to be pursue a Product Management career. Will this opportunity anywhere align at a later stage.?

I really wish that there was a way to see what the average billable hours is per associate at each firm. It's cool to say bonus threshold is only 1900, but means nothing when the average is 2100 per associate 🙃

I’m ready to make a change at the firm. I literally dread logging on every morning. This project is so crazy I don’t know what I’m doing at this point. Feels like I’m losing brain cells.

I work at a midsize, overwhelmingly white firm. A few weeks ago, I was working on client notes and my project manager said that the notes were good except for some grammatical and spelling errors. I found that odd since my spelling and grammar are always on point. I send the next round of notes to him the following week but this time, I asked if there are any edits, please feel free to add track changes. I get the notes back and unsurprisingly, he doesn’t have any track changes to add. Thoughts?

Most people talk about exiting into VC, but what are the options for exiting out of VC? Specifically jobs where you have some skill transfer, less hours / volatility, but pays pretty well - like working for a big tech company.

Looking to leave my auditing position with only 3 months of experience... I'm in a relatively small firm, and my manager's micromanaging is insane... Want to go into advisory, any advice is welcome.

I work at Big4 TAS Germany,with a great team and a nice role that I enjoy. Nevertheless, I very often feel underpaid and at the moment the market seems quite hot and it would be possible to change to IB. Anyone has views on Big4 TAS vs Small local IB Boutiques (IEG, Case, Contor). Money is definitely better but I am afraid that the lack of name recognition may hinder my exit opps long term.

Love Wealth Management and being a Financial Advisor, but not liking with the the company I’m with currently. Any tips/referrals on how I can pivot towards JPM,MS,GS? LinkedIn? Other websites? Should I consider smaller independent firms?

Just needed some advice, I have been interviewing with a company and have had 3 interviews so far. Left my first job after just shy of two years because I was bored. Have been at my current job for about half a year and it’s a great resume builder but an absolute horror story (long hours, unreasonable clients, tons of weekend work that’s not worth the pay). If I left in a few months, at the 10 month mark, would that significantly hurt my chances of getting a strong exit opportunity? I can’t imagine staying here for the full year but I don’t want to blow my chances at leaving for a cool job

Any particular segment of sales good for ex-finance? Currently 3 years in at fortune 100 bank on business development side (on commercial loan originations team but no commission/targets at the associate level, basically do credit analysis and build pitch books for the producers) This role has been great as I have gotten both analytical experience and tasted sales experience (I say taste bc I’m not the producer) but would potentially like to transition to a sales role that is less analytical
