I am currently on notice period and my LWD is Sep 2, 2022. Today, I got an offer from state street mentioning my joining date as Sep 12, 2022 even though I already told HR that I would like to join from Sep 5 itself. How can I convince HR to prepone my joining date to Sep 5, 2022. I don't want to lose my one week salary guys. Pls suggest. State Street

So you’re basically at 135k TC and the offer you have is approximately 156k TC? That’s not quite enough to make the jump worth it IMO, considering all the challenges you’ll face with a brand new role / building new relationships / essentially starting over. You could easily exceed 156k with one promo at Deloitte.

I personally try to aim for ideally 40% increases. But I’m in a different market than you. HCOL.
Maybe evaluate it with other variables that aren’t salary and TC.
I look at both, but I don't look at 401k and 10% profit sharing as part of TC. That's not cash you can use now. I usually shoot for +20-30% of my base + bonus. Signing bonus is separate.
