Really a comparison between tax rate now vs when you withdraw in retirement. No real way to know. Maybe split the 401k contribution? The lower your tax rate now, more likely that Roth is better. If you don’t reinvest any current tax benefit from traditional, Roth is better. Long winded way of saying you need to just make your best guess
If you are maxing the 401k, if you stay in the same tax bracket, I think Roth is probably a little better because of the capital gains.

It also depends on if you expect to continue living in Oregon in the future or potentially move to a state like California down the line. Oregon taxes are painful but California ones hurt even more.
