What about asking for a couple weeks paid administrative leave to start so I can have time between the two jobs to decompress?

I got an offer for a 3-mo contingent role at Meta as a CSM that pays more than double what I make now.

The pay rate makes it hard (if not impossible) to say no - but I'm apprehensive about accepting a contract offer, especially one that's only 3-months  ending on Jan 2.

How do you deal with the stress of waiting to hear back about a position that you interviewed for and really want? The interviews all went well with the most senior person even talking about how excited the whole team was about you and how they felt you were a great fit for a variety of reasons. Has anyone made the transition from Business Intelligence to data science or data engineering? how hard was it?

Currently working as a sales engineer and thinking of doing a part time CS Masters in Penn State. The main purpose is that my role is perceived as none technical and a CS Masters would keep technical opportunities open for me (my undergrad is mechanical engineering).
I could be technical by learning on the side, but I do want the degree as proof.
