Hi fishes, in urgent need of your suggestions.
One of my friend is having offer from Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.
Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?
Urgent suggestions required...
Thanks!
Hi Nagarrians, it's been 45 days now since I joined Nagarro I was assigned a team at the time of joining but since then I am waiting for interview to take place. Is this normal procedure? Although from day 2 my project manager asked me to fill the timesheet corresponding to one project which is no billable. I am having concerns now as I don't know if this is normal ?

quit. life flies and 6 months of misery here and there really add up when we generally have less than 1,000 months here on earth!
Reminds me of one of my favorite Simpsons quotes:

Quit
Quit.
Try for promotion ā 6 months will go by in a blink (Source: someone who has done nothing productive for the past 6 months)
If you have options to quit to that you believe are more fulfilling, thereās no point in prolonging the misery for a promotion to keep doing the same kind of work.
Sometimes think I got way too fixated on promotions vs doing what I found interesting and feel a bit stuck now
Only push through if youāre still growing. If not, āļø
Iāve been in this position 4 times in my career. Each time I have pushed through and because of that i have reached incredible milestones in my career faster than I imagined. Very grateful for where I am and I take pride in it...but also...looking back, Iāve missed out on a few life milestones. Do not regret it but now Iām making an effort to find a better balance. For you it comes down to your priorities and what you want to accomplish.
If promotion is likely Iād say to try to power through but if itās really awful just bounce
Are you miserable because of consulting? Your project? ACN? Answers will vary
Project for sure
Quit. Your life is worth more than a promotion.
If you have a network of people you trust and look up to, it might be worth seeking their advice on how to make the situation better. If you donāt have that kind of network, leave. A strong support network makes a huge difference in your happiness in this industry IMO
What kind of project are you on and how long have you been on it?
Why wait for a promotion? Do you think life will magically get better or do you think 1 month in the new role will make you more marketable? I would say neither of those is likely. If you are unhappy, change something. Life is too important to waste it being miserable.
OP. What will 6 more months of Misery bring you? Why wait? I can get wanting to finish a project out but unless you can find a way to make it better, just waiting for a promotion makes little sense to me.
