Should I reapply to a job that was just reposted?
I interviewed with a company a couple months ago and made it to the final round but no offer. I asked for feedback but wasn't given any.
"Unfortunately, we’ve decided to go in another direction at this time. However, if things change, we’ll be sure to reach back out."
A recruiter reached out to me yesterday for the same exact role. I've since added a few skills to my resume (even though I was a perfect match skill-wise the first time).
I think you should go for it! Maybe email the hiring manager or whoever you interviewed with directly to express your interest about the reposted position and company. I would also mention that you interviewed before.
Sb: I personally wouldn’t do more than one interview with this company if I made it to the final round the first time.
You got this!!
The recruiter who contacted you - are they from the company? If so I’d 100% apply again.
Is it too bold of me to reach out to the owner directly? My first round was with the Creative Director and the other developer, and I was told by the owner that they "had a wonderful conversation with me."
I may be the odd man out but if they interviewed you once and passed on you, I would let it be. If they were interested in you they would have reached out to you directly instead of continuing the process in pursuing other candidates. Companies have multiple different recruiters/third party recruiters recruiting on their behalf, so I wouldn’t put any stock into that. It couldn’t hurt, but I wouldn’t waste your time if they didn’t recognize your value the first time.
Rising Star
What's the harm in trying. It may be a long shot, but if it's been a few months and things may have changed.
