You should be clean. I have a beard but it’s cut well. It’s trimmed and taken care of. If you don’t like bearded men, you definitely won’t like working with me.

I think times have changed and the legal industry is a little more lenient on this. Like A1 said, make sure it’s clean. I have a scruff, but I trimmed it shorter and made sure my neck was clean

like

It’s your call - interviewers may have a prejudice against beards but they certainly won’t against clean-shaven. If it’s neat, you may be prepared to take the chance rather than change a big chunk of your image - but one for you to weigh up.

I purposefully kept my beard. I’m 28, but look much younger without my beard. I wanted to come off older and more mature for my age. Got an offer 30min after my interview (though I wouldn’t say it was the beard that compelled my current firm to hire me). Just trim/clean it, and you’ll be fine.

Keep the beard. Just make sure you have nice clean lines on the top and neck. I’m 26 and did all my OCI stuff with a beard and ended up at a relatively conservative firm. I look at least 5 years younger and significantly heavier without it, so I think it help a lot with my appearance.

I keep a 5:00 shadow but make sure it's cleaned up for interviews. I'm in house though.

Hi moms. I’m 8 weeks pregnant. My husband told his parents about it today. They reacted in the worst possible way! They asked what I was thinking and that he should talk to me about getting the baby aborted!! This baby wasn’t unplanned in any way. We really wanted a second child and glad that it happened without needing any interventions. I’m really mad right now! And just their words are making me cry! I expect 0 help from them to start with. But don’t need this negativity right now.
