So I'm new to IT field and got only 1 year experience in automation testing using Tosca, I got training in java and selenium and I studied selenium myself in free time to learn more in testing, I'm thinking to make a switch next year. I’m in talks with management about being a candidate for a new position, Project Manager. This would be a promotion for me; however, a member of my team indicated the company may not want to increase compensation for this role even though I would have more responsibilities. It was even stated that “They may even want to fire people who asked for more money.” I am staggered. Do you advice for me? Should I look elsewhere? Any referrals? Any insight/assistance appreciated.

One of the issues about going in-house is the pay cut. I am at a small law in a southeast regional city and suspect I would not take a large pay cut or would in fact have a raise. But I also expect the pay in-house is smaller here. Anyone have a frame of reference for expected salaries down here?

New offer from current company to move to a new team and they’re like it’s some big promotion. Current role is key accounts + a territory, 125k base + 31k and 19k additional bonus opportunities (which I’ve been hitting consistently). New role is a pay grade jump technically and just key accounts and supporting another team for some other big accounts. Pay is 158k + 27k bonus. Total comp difference is only 3% raise. I got a 6% raise in the same role last year alone. What would you negotiate?

My EOY review is coming up. Here I plan to lobby for a promotion/raise (been at company for 1.5 yrs). Some backstory: During my hiring process I was told by my now boss and VP they were also going to hire a senior engineer to help me along. They never hired such senior engineer because I have over performed and do more than they thought I could (have been told this in 2 performance reviews). Thus, is it fair to ask for a raise and promotion to Senior engineer?

I was the 2021 best ADR of all CEU in my company, got a promotion as account executive and in the first 7 month I’ve been between the 3 best sales of the team (12 people). Got back from 2 weeks of holidays and a month of sick leave I’m a bit demotivated by the culture of always been closing, always pushing etc.. I feel like I’m a bit tired. Probably I need a new experience or I don’t like the job anymore.. Anyone been in this situation? Any advice?

Can EY India revise the offer if we reject it without counter offer? The released offer has less package than my expected CTC and no joining bonus.
