100% yes. I did that today and took my kids to an amusement park near me. Absolutely worth whatever catch I have to play tomorrow.

The choice between family and work is not a real choice. Family every time. Unless you’ll get fired.

Can you take me too? I love legoland.

I’ve never been but I also want a nice partner to take me 😭

OP, did you do it??

What an insane industry this is when even partners feel the need to ask this sort of question on here. I assume you don’t have anything scheduled that’s so pressing it can’t be canceled or you wouldn’t be asking, so yes, absolutely take the day and be with your kid.

likefunny

Yes! Not sure how old your son is, but those kind of memories stick with kids, unlike yet another day where daddy/mommy worked hard to support the fam, which they MAY come to appreciate in the long run but who knows.

Hey bowl,

I'm building a sales organization for a SaaS start up from scratch, and I want to encourage a constructive sales environment from the get-go. Things like supportive teamwork, life time deal with value, and similar.

How would you design incentive structures for sales roles that encourage people and teams to support each other while also making sales leading to growing ARR?

What have you experienced that works particularly well? What doesn't?

Hey Friends! Looking for advice!

My wife is a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of experience as credit manager, underwriting loans with some leading banks in India. She just got her EAD and is looking for jobs, open to switch profiles as well. Do you think she would fit in for any role here in Seattle, WA? She has been a star performer and promoted twice in the last 3 years. One problem is companies look for US experience which she does not have, we just moved here early this year.
