I am on week 9 of wfh. Since then I have worked from my carpet floor and now I’ve been working from my bed (due to my butt and back hurting). As a result, I am looking to buy a desk and ergonomic chair since we aren’t going back to the office for a while. Could y’all please drop amazon specific links to affordable desks and chairs? No more than $175 for each. Having trouble finding any decent ones that fit this criteria
What are your favorite wireless headphones? Need to keep background noise to a minimum while I WFH...
Hi everyone! Has anyone else’s number of “team meetings” with leadership increased (i.e.: 1x a week to 3x a week via zoom)? If so, do you feel the need to still have multiple meetings per week just to “connect/check in”? How are you keeping them meaningful and intentional? Are team members engaged? When this WFH first started, I feel it made a lot more sense. But now people are rocking and rolling. I’d love to hear about others’ team meeting experiences these days! Be well.
Question: if companies decided to allow most employees to WFH permanently, how do you think the decrease in overhead would be spent?
One advantage of WFH is that when you sleep at 4am the day before a work day, you can then take a 1 hour mid day nap. That was needed 😊😅
Things I never expected to happen with WFH: My toddler throwing up all over me 10 minutes into a telephonic depo.... 🙄 Dont worry, the toddler went back to 100% normal after this, and has no fever.
Which shops gave WFH stipends for you to use for home office buildouts? If you got one, how much and what did you get?
What are your tax team's work from home policy? My team is pretty good for that, and seniors seem can have unlimited work from home during non busy season unless something big happens.
For people that WFH, what's your set up like? Tired of working on my kitchen counter. Might invest a desk and nice monitor.
I was remote for a couple weeks and came to spend time with so to the south n then fly from here to my next client site .SM on a closing engagement wants me at his office to resolve review comments .
Those who work remote or are local - what's your food budget per month? Also specify your cost of living. Looking specifically toward single males.
Thoughts on juice cleanses? Any positive/negative experiences to share? I know the “clearing toxins” stuff is BS, but it seems like maybe a nice way to semi-fast while getting hydrated + getting vitamins. Plus WFH has my relationship with snacking all out of whack and I’d like to reset that
Anyone have recommendations for a daily planner? Or any other productivity tools that have helped you? I really need to start getting my life together in this WFH madness!
I recently got a job in city A, where we currently live, knowing that we’d have to relocate in the next few months to city B (same state) for my husband’s new job. My job is expected to be fully remote at least through the end of the year but they only have an office in the current city and expect everyone to be back in it eventually. When do you guys think I should let my boss know I’m moving?
what chair do you sit in while wfh? I didn't think it would make a huge difference, but I really miss my office chair (Aeron w lumbar support). any suggestions for decent chairs under $200?

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for an industry position in my city. I am 6 months pregnant though and would like to use ACN’s maternity leave benefits. I have been thinking about (contd)
If you know you can come back to the US before your H1B expires, would you go back to your home country and work remotely from there?
If you're being honest with yourself and your experience what position would you accept tomorrow and leave public accounting for? Or what are you holding out for once you have more experience?
If my last day is Jan 24th and my new job starts Feb 10th what happens with my health insurance in between? Anything I can do to keep the health insurance or do I have to buy my own until the new job?
Which TC would you prefer: €85k, €120k, €160k in Berlin (salary grows each year), or $170k/yr in SF?
Been doing the M-Th grind for a few months now. No sleep, I’m getting depressed, and miss my SO terribly. SM and Manager don’t care since I’m pretty vital to the project. How to make it more bearable?
Fears of the new SBGE257 being too thick wholly unfounded. Two most surprising things about it on the wrist: 1) how ergonomic the case is 2) the subtlety of the sunburst green dial.
Anyone manage their own investments? How did you get started? All my money is either in a savings account or 401K and I feel like I should be doing more. But the investment world seems so intimidating, I have no idea where to start and how to ensure compliance with the firm
With the partner threads going around, what do partners on here thinks makes someone a good candidate to make partner at their firm? I feel out of place in accounting. I’m very extroverted and love building relationships. I’m slightly above average for being technically savvy in tax, but not extraordinary. How difficult is it to be a direct admit partner to a smaller firm than a Big 4 firm?
I am working in a tech startup. We deal with contracts. My job spans a number of areas in the company. I work with Client Success Managers helping clients extract certain data from their contracts, our Data Science Team regarding product development, the Marketing team to help them understand what is currently happening in the contract field and sales. I am not performing the work of an in-house counsel. And since this type of position is fairly new, I wonder how to research salary?
What are the levels in BCG? A recruiter reached out for the project leader role which is different than the big4 nomenclature. All help is appreciated !
