Should I throw my entire $6k of Backdoor Roth contributions into VTI or DCA in case of market downturn (ex: $2k per month)?

Just throw it all in. Even if there's a 20% drop tomorrow... Would just be a blip over a 20-30 year investment horizon

like

DCA makes sense mostly when you have continuous funds coming in (like taking $500 every month and buying VTI with it) as opposed to holding the cash for a while. If you already have a lump sum, you’re most likely going to be better off putting it all in now versus trying to time the market. This is especially true with retirement accounts, where, as A1 mentioned, your time horizon is quite long.

like

Thanks A1 and BAH 1. Just needed a sanity check before I made the VTI purchase.

Or you can put somewhere that will guarantee protection from Market downturn.

And what’s that?

Anyone know when Ch. 7 BKs must close by? Is this changed by when there are adversary proceedings (alleged fraudulent transfers made to a bank for CC payments)? Asking for my friend who is unfortunately involved bc of his parents, who are the debtors (he isn’t a defendant or a debtor in this, but the payments were made to a CC in his name—a CC he didnt know was opened in his name).

Its in Texas, and the initial BK filing was made about 23 months ago. TIA!

Hi guys
I am from EY india
I have declared my investments in tax declaration portal , still I see in monthly salary that there is huge tax deduction.
In my previous organization, once I declared my investments in the tax portal , then my salary was very less affected by tax deduction.
But in ey india , I don't see any effect after declaring my investments.
Kindly help me how to declare investments so that there will be less tax deductions from my salary .

I think I’d choose 3 but idk. Tough call, and I feel bad for current college students

Is life insurance a priority to anyone at the moment, and if so why is life insurance important to you?

It can be impossible to deal with financial losses due to declining health or unforeseen circumstances by not having life insurance. In these cases, the solution to your debts (that can affect the financial stability of you or your loved ones) may fall within the category of life insurance.
