I am a senior consultant (Tech Consulting) in a Big4 (India) who is promised a promotion in October. I have an offer from Accenture Ireland at CL9 level. Is it worth making the move? I have started disliking the culture in my team and thus looking for a change. It would be great if someone could help me out with this. Accenture

Funny. I’m an ACD and really the title is kind of a combo of management and being a “regular” creative. I think experienced creatives can handle that.
Bigger question is - do you want to become CD? Because damn, all those meetings and office politics and “rah rah” shit would burn me out by lunch.
I would just jump to ECD if I were you...
Depends where. I’ve worked at places where ACD is just Senior Senior Creative and the pay to match. Other places treat it more like a CD.
I’m down with the Sr. Sr.
sure. it's alright.
More money than Sr. 💰
Honestly my concern is I don’t want to stop doing the work (maybe a little less of the more junior projects)
Yeah, I mean as long as you’re a good writer, they’ll always have you doing the work. The plus side is that it’s usually just the work you want to do. I CD most things but am asked to write on bigger projects.
Some of the best senior writers while I was a junior were being pushed to work towards or take a CD role. They also avoided it like the plague.
If you can make the money and still be a senior writer you’re better off in a lot of ways.
A lot depends on the agency and what you really want. It could just mean more responsibility, politics and a little more money.
I enjoy the balance .
