If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Absolutely not. Take your time off. The work will get done when it gets done.
If you get it done during your break, they are just gonna give you more work during the audit. Take the PTO
What KPMG 1 said. I have the next two weeks off for the Holiday. Will I maybe get on a couple hours here for there to keep stuff moving with our overseas team/ get my clients in a good spot? Yep! Will I tell anyone I plan to do that? Nope.
If I find the motivation and do it - sweet. But it’s because I willingly wanted to do that, not because I verbalized an expectation
Don't so crap, then quit right when you get back.
Lol. I always plan to do work and catch up during the long break but never ends up happening.
Especially this year take it off. I’m sure like most you have not taken the normal amount of time off.

Don’t work a second.
Take the time off, no doubt. This year is more needed than ever.
You'll never get ahead, however much you work, so you just have to get comfortable with always having a never ending to-do list. That's the job. If you do decide to do some work to make YOUR life easier after the holidays, don't promise it in advance, otherwise it'll just hang over you and it raises expectations.
I inherited a 1st year audit from a guy who left the firm without even glancing a second at the workpapers. On top of that my client is dumb as a rock and doesn’t help me much to understand what’s going on in their own account. But will I work more during this holiday?? NO NO NO NO & NO. I have done that before and refuse to let people walk over me anymore. At the end it’s gonna get done one way or another. Take a break relax and come back with a fresh mind. Your mental well being should be your priory this year.
