Am I wrong in thinking I am the logically person to get a huge promotion? Background: I work on a Buying team as Buyers Assistant and I am currently the only person in my Category. I know the business, the product, the operating system and the vendors. However, I know nothing about buying but I quickly learn analytics and procedures. Wouldn’t it be easier to train me on buying vs training a buyer how our systems functions, our products, and how it moves in our company?

Finding that deal work and ADHD are a tough mix. Really struggling to keep up with all the components, characters and documents. Enjoy drafting corporate docs and opinions. Really like research/writing and creative problem solving. Are there any transactional practices that involve larger projects with fewer moving pieces?
Hello! I was curious if there were any women here who are Controllers at their current company? What is your experience like? I’ve dabbled into public accounting for two years now in the Business Outsource department and was curious about moving back to private to work my way up to be a Senior Accountant or Controller. My previous private company had a lot of prejudice about women moving up to upper management so I felt discouraged. I’m a little lost on where to go with my Accounting Career.

When determining the pre-money value of a company (for series B), should the forecasted financial statements include the potential achieved with the capital that will be invested?
Curious to hear everyone’s perspectives on if they regret turning down an M7 MBA, to continue on in their careers. It’s pretty stylish now to forego them (especially in tech and investing), but I’ve seen stories of career stagnation without them.
I’m fairly exhausted and would love the break, but at the same time I really don’t want to give up my investing seat - the idea of needing to re-recruit and not necessarily landing at a better fund scares me. The $1M opportunity cost also doesn’t help
Going through the process to join a F500 Corp Dev team - team seems cool, big pay jump, like the firm and would be 2 steps below the CEO and have a small team to run. Until this opp (con’t)
Is the salary for PE roles such as Investor relations lower then other PE positions? What would be your salary expectation for an IR Associate role in London in some of the leading PE firms?
Hey everyone. This is potentially a silly question. In regards to a PE/VC exit from consulting, does it matter if your DD experience is pre or post LOI signing? Is one more relevant/valuable experience than another?

A few questions re: KKR Global Impact:
- How does their diligence process differ from traditional KKR?
- Treated as "2nd-class citizens" within the firm?
- Would a diligence team have some impact members and some core PE members to run different parts of the DD?
I will be interviewing at a fund for a head of strategy role.
What do you think are the the topics that should be top of mind for a head of strategy for a fund ?
Do these make sense
1)talent (in house or outsource to specific managers)
3)new asset classes and ways to invest
4)digitisation of back office and reporting
5)value creation strategy for assets
Anyone know who the HH is for Insight Partners?
IB analyst with a year of experience at a MM firm and have a chance to interview with an extremely small PE / debt fund. I’m talking like $2mm+ EBITDA minority investments. Is this a good opportunity or should I just keep chugging along until I have a bit more experience in IB?

Curious about exit opps from consulting. I’ve seen some posts that say leave at 3 years max and then I’ve seen others that say stay a bit longer and you can actually come on a level higher then entry on the portfolio Ops side. Any definitive guidance?
Trying to find data on PE ops entry level roles. Is anyone in the Miami market that can speak to salaries? Thanks!
Can someone explain how i should factor in the balance sheet when evaluating a company? I can glean the WC and capex requirements from the CFS, but does the BS asset value mean anything? What about the amount of existing cash/debt on hand - does that matter? Thanks in advance all
