Does anyone know if tech companies typically offer a severance package if laid off for sales roles?
Industry-wide layoffs tomorrow or nah?
Netflix. I see a remote opportunity at the company. Does anyone have experience of Netflix work culture, or remote working with them? For all the downturn in growth, they have only laid off approx 4% of staff since April (latest cut were 30 people on animation team in Sept).
Just got benched, been completely billable till now, how long until I should be worried about potential layoffs? (Even though management is “committed” to not letting people go during covid)
Just saw my engagement partner at the golf course. Sigh I’m probably getting fired now.
The Many has had two huge rounds of layoffs in like 2 months. How will they get anybody to come work with them moving forward? Will they have to change their name or something? Who wants to work somewhere where there is something around every corner.
Wanted to join BNY , could someone tell me about the layoff happened there, I heard only PIP employees are laid off . Other than that company is very employee friendly.
Please wanted a genuine reply only from BNY employees
Staff sent out paper AR confirms and got them back. Manager saw them and asked why their wasn't fold marks. Turns out staff forged signatures cause he didn't send them. Partner came out and fired him!
Does EY GDS layoff or fire any employee??
Hey everyone, I was recently laid off.. on November 3 actually. It’s a “temporary layoff” and I’m one of the 4 who got laid off. My return date is February 1st. Would you wait, and collect employment insurance (Canada) or start looking for a new job??
With so many layoffs and the strange uncertainty of this industry right now—is anyone scared to death?
Is it true that Cooley just laid off an additional 100+ associates? (In addition to their past loyoffs). Seems wild
I just started working a couple of months ago, should I start to panic because I might potentially get laid off? Our account seems to be very busy though.
I read to the kids a book that ended with a line like, "If it was a good story, start all over."I told the kids I really only did that once in my life regarding a book about a teacher going to teach in Africa. In reality it was about a missionary. I hid the name of it and what it really was about. In other instances I've also explained the meaning of life is to love sacrificialy without telling them the source. I feel guilty hiding the Truth. How do you speak the Truth without being fired?
Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I got this invite shortly after. The place I’m interviewing at the job wouldn’t start til next year. I dont want to seem like a job hopper. Do i tell them I’m at a new role or just not bring it up? The acquisition was public so they can see Im no longer employed with the most recent work history on my resume

What happens if I get terminated from Infosys? I will never join IT anymore so will it be a problem if I get myself fired?

How do you deal with toxic Asians with a superiority complex that constantly "other" and insult you as "white"?
I'm definitely 2nd Gen/ABC, so not the most culturally Asian. That being said, still celebrate key holidays so it's annoying and borderline bigoted when some tells me I'm "not Asian" and "white." My parents chose to raise me more American so I fit in, so to be insulted over something I didn't "choose" gets annoying.

I feel like double layoffs in 2021. However, I’ve seen a lot of people leave my firm during the pandemic which is weird.
Expect layoffs in 2021
HL, Blair, RBC, Nomura, Baird already cut 10-20%
Probably depends on the area. On trading side, if / when we see revenues start to normalize or shrink, expect larger layoffs next year. On the operations side, they’ve paused productivity layoffs, but are merely adding on top of the target goals for next year.
