Naaah. My AD has about 5 more years than me in the business. She deserves the fatter paycheck for sure.

In the younger years it’s probably close or the same. But as you progress, you may find yourself working with somebody who is not up to your level of experience. Would you be willing to make the same? Probably not

Experience matters

I'd love to hear your reasoning for this.

And by partner I mean art director partner.

My partner and I always have

What if your partner is a garbage negotiator with no self esteem who holds you back?

Not necessarily. Even if you have the same qualifications, salary is negotiated. They might be a better negotiator than you or vice versa

Depends on your relative levels of experience, but all things being equal, yeah, probably. At the end of the day, though, you gotta worry about what works for you, and not be comparing yourself to everyone around you.

I think u r taking the term “partner” too literally.

I keep sabotaging my relationships. I am already trying to find a therapist, as I think I also have undiagnosed ADHD (I am 35). I got into a huge fight with my bf over the weekend for basically nothing. We’ve dated for about a year, he’s very serious about me but I am very close to losing him. It seems I am just picking fights and can’t let go. It’s like I am constantly testing how much of this he can take. I don’t wanna be a drama queen but I guess I am. Any advice on how to get out of this?

When your CDs are replaced, it’s not an easy task to survive the change. They bring new people over you, you’re considered a problem right off the bat, and you have to prove, once again, that you deserve your spot. Now, with everything being handled online, it feels even harder. Any tips on how to navigate this scenario?

During interviews, how do you like to answer the question, “where do you like to go for inspiration?”

Has anyone on here gone from ad agency into PR? Are there creative opportunities there? For context, i’ve been at big agencies for my whole career. Love the work but tired of the long hours and the award chasing. Are there PR agencies known for their creative?

Have any of you voluntarily gone from CD to Senior CW or CW, and how did you message that with recruiters, LinkedIn, and so on? My last job broke me mentally and physically. I was grossly underpaid, so it won't be much of a lifestyle switch and I don't think I was a terribly good manager, anyway.
