Should you tell the recruiter who placed you in the previous role, that you were laid off from the company they placed you in 1.5 years go.

They are working with me on finding new roles for me now but they don't know I was let go.

I'm assuming they will think this as a reflection of my abilities and I might lose my only contact. ☹️

I am curious to see the number of new Grant Thornton PPMD promotees for 2019 once they are made public, in light of all of the recent layoffs and office closure/s.

Recently found out from market research for my level in my industry that I'm VASTLY underpaid vs the market BUT employees at the same level in countries in Europe where our HQ is and where half my team live are even paid much less than me (converting to USD). So do I push for fair market compensation for US or will that make me first target for layoffs and look replaceable to higher ups than rest of my team so not worth the risk?
