Why would you spend 4 business hours driving when you could be working remotely until your new flight lands?

likesmart

Exactly my case.

Expense a cab?

Did you try standing by for your original flight?

Dallas to Houston ?

Yeah I’ve had to drive 4h through the night once to make an 8:30 meeting when my first leg got severely delayed causing me to miss the last connection. Not fun.

Client offered TC ~220k (170k base) with travel comp for a SM job, top 40 biotech by market cap.

Pros - 0 transition (same work/team), wlb, TC, no relocation, have an advocate
Cons - wanted AD but offered SM, less exposure to different work, more personal effort to keep up w industry knowledge and new tools

Worth the jump? Any thoughts/comments are appreciated!

Anyone else getting “when are you coming to visit?” pressure from your parents? Mine live a 3+ hour flight away (and actually all the direct flights have been cancelled). We have three young kids including a newborn. And yet they keep pressuring me about why haven’t I visited recently and when are we coming. I told them they are welcome here anytime but I’m not traveling with my unvaccinated kids right now. It’s getting unbelievably annoying!

Has anyone else in PDM received one of these “you’re selected to be an Onboarding Advisor” emails? 2 of my coworkers got one and they seem to be expected to advise new hires on how to do resumes, skills, staffit, DTE, introduce them to their network, send welcome emails, checkin with them multiple times and answer their onboarding questions. Seems like a lot of extra firm work when PDM is not supposed to be required to do firm work…. Wondering if anyone knows about this new requirement.
