I currently have a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Management. I currently am pursuing my MBA, but I want to get a certification in RHIT but it has been so difficult for me. Recently 1 of my clients initiated open PTO policy. The transition from set leave balance to open was smooth process. However we are running into dilemma of how we standardize different types of leaves and whether there will be a limitation to how much open PTO is used at one time. For leisure, we just limit taking two weeks max at one time. However if we have volunteer policy or bereavement policy how should we standardize it? If EE is out for longterm sick, how do we standardize time paid?

Have you ever negotiated a severance? Company ended my employment and wants me to sign a mutual non-disparagement, waive suing them, etc. but they didn't offer me any money. They are fully in the wrong, it's a disability related issue. My options are 1. Sign 2. Refuse to sign 3. Try to negotiate. 4. Sue them (contingent on attorney taking the case). I'd prefer to negotiate, but not sure that's realistic.

Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common? I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case. Thanks for any perspectives.

KFC awards creative business to MullenLowe after FOUR ROUNDS OF PITCHES. That’s right. Not only did they ask agencies to pitch over the holidays, they made them come back… not twice, not 3 times. But 4. Times. Arnold? FCB? Fig? Godspeed to the creative team on this business. KFC is the reason this industry is shrinking and creatives are fleeing in droves. Wieden saw this coming from (many) miles away. Good on them. There are good clients and great brands out there….just not this one sadly.
