Question for those who live alone - how has it been during quarantine? I currently live with roommates and was planning on moving out this past spring but decided to stick it out with Covid. Sometimes it’s great and I’m so happy to have the social interaction but other times I’m mentally drained and very tired constantly cleaning up after others. I’m wondering if getting my own place is worth the social sacrifice, especially not knowing how long Covid will last.
Trump just aired what is essentially a campaign ad, attacking the press and praising his response, in the middle of the coronavirus briefing. He forced the country to watch this live.
Our baby is due soon so we’ve made the decision that we will only have visits from vaccinated family members (not realizing it would be an issue) only to find out that my Dad will never be getting vaccinated, planned to lie about it AND asked other family members lie to us about his vaccination status too… when we found out and asked him about it, he started to FREAK out. Now I’m questioning if we’re being unreasonable… how have you guys been handling unvaccinated people meeting your newborns??
Friend works here. They are offering FREE online support groups for coping with COVID-19. The groups will focus on educating people on the emotional effects they may be experiencing and how to cope. www.willowoaktherapy.com
We are the virus. Earth is a living body and humans multiply exponentially within, exploiting and ruining every bit of this planet. COVID and natural disasters are probably the antibodies
Is this a good time to sell off and just wait it out? I believe it is, as we don’t know which way the market is going. Covid is coming back in second wave and it’s not over.
Anyone with a brain knows that Trump had the CDC change how they count COVID stats because it is brutal to his campaign to say he golfed while 180,000 Americans died.
Hey ladies, need advice and peace of mind: I’ve been seeing this guy pre-Covid-19 . He lives in Baltimore, MD and I live in arlington, va. before the lockdown I went over to his place for a week, and we embraced each minute with each other knowing that we won’tw be able to hold and touch each other for a long time. I’ve decided to stay with my parents back in Virginia. For the past month and a half, he started voicing how he’s really feeling the distance. He even tried to drive down to see me.
I’ve been seeing a guy for the past few months (met just before COVID) who is incredibly nice/kind but also boring & a poor conversationalist. Def not long term, but since My SIP won’t end soon, I keep him around hoping he “opens up”. I’ve asked his views on politics, current events, food, sex, relationships, etc. His response: “I don’t really follow that”/“I haven’t thought about it”. I love having someone to touch, but I miss great conversation too. Any tips?? Suggested questions?
What do you think teaching will be like after COVID? Do you think we'll change anything permanently?
I’m a 21 F and i currently live in the Midwest. Lately I’ve been thinking to move to a bigger city (CA, FL, NYC). Are there any tips from those who made the move or those who currently live in the bigger cities of those states? It would be after covid of course.
Thoughts on drinking and productivity? Is it unhealthy to be drinking after work on weeknights and/or solo? Also, I feel that a lot of drinking is in a social/networking context (pre-covid). Are there ways to move away from that?
I am feeling this strange attraction to the partner I work for. I know it’s stupid and we have only ever met ONCE (I joined the firm just before Covid started). I think lockdown has got to me
Someone in Florida has brains. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid19-florida-broward-county-school-board-mask-mandate
Not sure if this qualifies as investment but is anybody scooping the corona virus stocks? I bought some TNXP, CODX and IBIO yesterday.
Anyone know where to get free covid testing near west loop with fast turnaround time for results?
For anyone worried about the COVID spikes lately. Percentage of total tests that test positive have been consistently flat since April. Not trying to downplay the pandemic as a whole, but I think the media should be showing more of this instead of number of new cases https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/individual-states
My company is now displaying!

Bravo Deloitte 🙌 Laid off a Senior and a year later, offer staff/intern position. Consulting or insulting🥴
Would you transfer from a Tier 2 NA city to a (the?) Tier 1 city in Europe just for the sake of the experience?
My laptop bag fell off my citiBike and got run over by a bus.... Fffffffuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk!
New to consulting, I just don’t understand why we can’t just deliver what’s in the SOW? On my current project, doing what we signed up for isn’t enough, always need more w/ no adjs to sow or staff
WTF! Accepted into BOOTH! Wasnt expecting this. Have a child on the way and am worried that taking two years away from the job and while incurring 200k+ debt may not be worth it. Please help! 😫
It’s 11am and I haven’t even opened my laptop
Just went up to a manager to ask a clarifying question on what the client needs. And he responds to me with "use your brain, what do you think". "I have told you 10 times". So Rude. Continued.
Travel vs. vacation home? Grew up in a travel family so we never had a vacation home but COVID has me a bit jealous of folks who can easily escape out into the woods or countryside. Love any thoughts!
What would Trump say if he was a consultant?
On my last project I had the best role and raved about how much I loved my job and loved consulting, this one makes me want to quit every day. Sucks how much things vary based on your team & client...
