On H-1B and I told my current employer today that I would be resigning to join a new employer. Current employer would like to give me a counter offer.
1. Is it okay to reveal the numbers to my current employer?
2. If my current employer matches, can I take that offer to my new employer?
3. If new employer matches the counter, will that involve having to re-apply for H-1B with the updated salary?

Was contacted by a recruiter, and while I'm happy with almost everything about where I'm at, the way people discuss AmLaw salaries, I feel like I should consider it since it would probably be a significant jump in salary. I'm at 120k TC, and the only way it's going up is with increased bonuses or share of originations (and I am not a networker).

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.
