Which health insurance plan do you recommend for pregnancy and maternity care? Looking for switching during current open enrollment . From the Deloitte sponsored plans, narrowed down to these 3 - Anthem Bluecard PPO, Aetna Select, UHC PPO. I am currently enrolled for Anthem Bluecard PPO and looking for other best options, if any. Also, if I get pregnant in December and switch to any other from Jan, will that works or the new insurance provider might raise a concern to cover the expenses? TIA!
Reasonable wait time on a Rolex explorer 1? No established relationship with an AD. Would be looking to purchase in the fall after promotion (fingers crossed)
Anyone with United 1k in jeopardy of not meeting the lowered “move the goalpost” PQP targets? Is there a December promotion or do you think United will pivot to extend status to 2023 in the final hour? Ugh, I don’t want lose 1k but can’t justify ~$5,000 in out of pocket expenses / mileage run. Anyone in the same boat?
Who’s leaving PwC? Raise yoooo haaaandddd 🤚
A1-A2 tax, 6% raise and 3% VC. Thoughts?
Hello. I’m working on H1B and recently got a promotion. My company is amending my H1B and told me that since my new job is remote I can only work at my apartment (since it’s my legal location). Is there any chance they can figure out I’m working remotely from somewhere else? Also, I’m also in the process of applying for green card (thru employment). Does anyone know the timeline for this given my H1B is getting amended ? (My country has no waiting time).
Ropes & Gray - when will you actually announce the pay raise that every other V50 did a whole month ago?
They say people are leaving in droves, but in my office and practice no one leaves. I think we are just waiting to see who crumbles first in the hopes that those who stay will be awarded a promotion in April.
I have to be honest, I don’t care about a promotion or job growth. I just want to work pay my bills and enjoy life. I’m working on paying off debt. Anyone else feel like this?
How to let a firm know comp expectations changed due to a raise at the current employer? Gave a firm a range and they offered me a base comp at the low end of my range. Not sure how I feel about this. Thoughts on this? Would expect them to meet me at least in the middle. Current comp is going to be very close to 90k at the end of the year. Initially gave a range of 95 - 110 (when my comp was still in the low 80s). They met me at 95. I have almost 2 YOE. Thanks!
Is a lateral move to a boutique consultancy from big 4 a dumb idea? The pay increase is the same I’d get from a promotion (you know, if b4 promotions and pay rises were still a thing).
Hi all. If you have ever encountered passive aggressive teammates, did you raise this situation to your direct report? If so, what was your approach and how did you deliver the feedback? This particular teammate is beginning to create a toxic work environment for me and I would like to diffuse this situation amicably, as performance reviews are near.
What is the average promotion cycle in KPMG audit in the US for experienced M (recruited from outside to the US) to SM?
Who's gonna respond to Kevin Richard's appreciation email with "thanks for the awesome raise with the record breaking performance year...I truly feel appreciated"
How do i go about using a job offer as leverage for a promotion? Possible promotion came up at my review and since then another agency has reached out to me.
Recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m going for a mid year promotion this December to manager and my baby would be due around then as well. When should I tell everyone at work about my pregnancy and how can I avoid letting it impact my promotion?
Anyone able to provide insight into consulting life in Australia vs Canada, e.g. costs of living/quality of life/scope of projects/comp/promotion (incl. any ceiling)/exit opp? Thinking of leaving Hong Kong soon for a slower-pace anglophone country with outdoor life. Thanks so much!
Client site girlfriend wants to continue after I roll off the project and start traveling elsewhere. I like her but worried about the new distance. Any of y'all been through this?
Good morning all! Anyone have any experience with Delta Partners? The consulting firm specializing in TMT. Would you recommend it?
Everyone: We asked for diversity and visible minorities in this video. This edit shows 90% whites dudes... The producer: The guy in the first shot is latino and there’s also an Irishman and an Australian bro at the end 😑
I have the chance to convert 170,000 Marriott points to cash at their "going rate" of .8 cents to be $1360. Would you do it? My question effectively is, if I have time and location flexibility, is it likely I could find a sweet deal to get more than that amount of value from those points?
Loving that companies now send you good luck messages before your final round of interviews! Anyone else got one before? They totally warm my heart :)
Question for fellow HR reps - What information about the former employee/contractor you provide for verification requests? 1. Only verify job title, start/end dates and pay rate. Do not comment on other information to avoid liability. 2. Verify job title, start/end date, pay rate and any other information requested such as termination reason and rehire status. 3. Verify job title, start/end date and pay rate. Verify other information only if incorrectly stated by the former employee/contra

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
