Hey everyone. Hope you are having a good day. I have a little question. I am the type of auditor that love fieldwork. I heard from someone that big 4 now tend to switch to work from home mote. Is that true? Do you think it's better to try to get into mid size CPA firms or big 4 small and medium client segment/ industry in order to have the greatest chance to be on audits that require fieldwork?

Hope to hear your opinion and advices.

Hi Fishes, Got an offer from Jio as Manager (Software developer) in Jio Mart technology. Could any of you have experience or know how work life balance will be in this project ?Jio Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited

I was laid off last month but now in the final interview stage for two very different opportunities.

First opp is a digital agency and they asked if I’d consider a part-time contract gig with the “goal to hire” in 60 days, depending on the COVID impact. So no guarantee for a full-time offer. Second opp is a client side marketing role at a publicly traded company that has been somewhat recession-proof. Culture is very corporate and a bit conservative (not creative).

What would you choose?

Hi fishes,

I am Planning to get release from the current project as there is a role mismatch and there is too much of micromanagement and not giving enough time to learn and do the work and I feel like it is not good for long run. I have competed 3 months but there is still no confirmation from the manager/supervisor. If I ask release now will that affect my probation confirmation?

How has internship hiring been adjusted given the recent hiring push? On one hand, there's extreme growth and need for talent. On the other, interns don't convert to full time for over a year from acceptance, so by then the labor demand may have subsided. Any insights?

Is it ever worth responding to a recruiter email to interview with another firm when you’re content with where you are? I honestly have no real desire to lateral (I like my firm, like my bosses, like my practice areas), but I’m in midlaw and often get biglaw recruiting emails relevant to my specialty that pay market that leave me curious. Is it worth entertaining a call or a waste of everyone’s time?

Interviewed with EJ, RJ, and Stifel as a new advisor. which to pick? EJ offering way more base up front with small goodknight to start. RJ’s fancy AMP training program is just slap a yellow pages down and start dialing with little to no practice building training. Stifel seems similar to RJ, with less hidden customer fees, more flexibility on customizing your fee schedule per customer, and there is a possibility of the lead FA in the office retiring out soon with his 120m book.
