Silly question alert but how to put down notice? Should you talk to partners or HRs first, and then let your team know?

You could tell your team first and then a partner. But to put official notice you have to go through Hr. There is an option in successfactors that initiates it. At least thats how i did it when i left ey a few months back

Partners -> HR -> Team Or HR -> Partners -> Team I personally wouldn’t tell the team until it’s official with HR and the partners as news spreads fast.

Agreed. Telling your team is also basically indirectly telling HR.

I would talk to your partner/manager first. As soon as you have the first conversation it will spread to HR and the senior members of the team (they may give you a couple minutes if you tell them you want them to wait so other hear it coming from you), but talk to whoever you want to hear directly from you first.. HR is probably last on that list… you will also probably get push back and they will attempt to convince you to stay (bonus, promo in december, transfer after busy season, etc) so be prepared for that as well

I was originally going to talk to my coach first but then my partner wanted to catch up early morning so ended up telling them first and news trickled down by the time i talked to my coach and RL

I went to my counselor first. She told me to not put anything on SF or tell HR until I speak to an executive first. She didn’t say it as a command but in a soft tone. They will do this because depending on how high of a performer you are the partner will try to get you to stay. Now if you don’t care about that, you could go to HR first and they will give you the next steps (talk to an exec, enter your resignation in SF, etc)

Depends if you are sure to leave, then I would do HR in SF first so you wont be convinced to stay so easily.

I don’t get people at all! Got to my seat a flight and placed my laptop bag (with work laptop) under the seat. Then went to the ladies room. Came back and a woman in my seat and she moved my laptop bag. She refused to move until she verified her seat assignment, then didn’t apologize and gave me attitude when I simply said I don’t understand why you’d touch and move someone’s things when you’re in the wrong seat. Btw: she was not a new traveler. So rude.
