Silly question for a group that I assume are awesome writers. Any advice on how to improve my writing?

Three easy tricks:

1. The word "that" is almost always unnecessary.

2. If it ends in -ly, it's fluff and doesn't need to be there.

3. Put the thesaurus away.

You think “brand side” is where you find awesome writers? I’d maybe check the copywriters bowl. It also might help to specify what type of writing you’re trying to improve, and what you think you’re lacking.

Natural talent or not, we all have to hone our skills 😉

Read more, and try to write like the people you like. If you’re talking short form-twitter, short-medium-blogs, long form-books

Always ask what’s the goal who is your audience and what’s their pain point you are trying to solve. Then use that to do marketing outline then make a story arc so here is the problem here is the info about how bad the problem is and here is the solution and always have a call to action if you can

like

Great advice. Take the outline further by inserting SEO and competitive research. This of course assumes you are writing educational content. Writing ads and social require different skills and strategy.

Ann Hadley has a book called everybody writes that is excellent. She is associated with the Marketing profs organization and puts on a lot of great workshops.

like

Stephen King‘s book on writing is excellent as is and Lamott‘s book, bird by bird. Really, the best way to improve your writing is to write every day. Start your day with some morning pages. It will help you creatively and as a writer. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Also another good tip is to have a good editor. I have one who’s contact information I can share. She is the best editor and proofreader I have ever worked with. She’s also my daughter.

Writing is like a lot of skills in creative fields. The only real way to get better at it is to do it. If you have a personal website, add a blog to it. Find some daily writing prompt exercises and go to town.

Specific strategies or “tips and tricks” for writing for a specific purpose (marketing, brand guidelines, etc) can all be learned down the line, but they won’t help you if you’re not exercising that part of your brain regularly.

Insta Editor Text is such a good tool! Helps improve syntax and write like a native (in English)

Good writing is good thinking. How well do you think?

Sentences are just vessels to carry your thoughts. Great writing is comprised of simple and clear sentences that carry great, interesting, and insightful thoughts. So if you want to become a great writer, don’t start with the writing. Begin with the thinking and learn to express those thoughts as simply and clearly as you can. It also helps to read great writing and to have writerly heroes who you can aspire to imitate. Through the process of imitation, you’ll find your own voice.

No one is trying to insult anyone and it wasn’t clear that the OP is a non-native speaker. But that is irrelevant to the advice I’ve offered.
