Since the New Year my motivation has been at an all time low. Used to be excited over projects and lately been just cruising through and have had some very clumsy moments. Anybody lose their mojo along the way?

When I lateraled, I was brought on at the class year that matched my graduation year but was unsure if I had what it took to be a biglaw attorney. Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. I moved from IT external audit to industry. I have enough time in hand to learn /explore something new. Looking for suggestions that are realistic and will present opportunities to do something different.

Just jumped to industry from doing IT audits, first day in the job and it feels like the controls here seems super subpar. The higher ups seems to have different focus; business needs first, how should I focus and progress in such environment?

I was asked to review and sign off on work papers I am not comfortable with and didn’t work on. If the work papers are not in good shape then to remove signatures before archiving. What should I do?
