😂 No. No problem at all.
Any good CrossFit gym / Box will encourage you to scale and modify the workouts. My box never prescribes kipping pull-ups but they might have strict pull-ups and if you can't do them, they'll have you do banded pull-ups, ring rows, etc.
I recently joined a crossfit gym as well and have been so pleasantly surprised by how different it is from the public perception of crossfit (and what scared me away from it for so long!)
I'm a novice and all of my coaches have been extra kind in making sure I focus on form, not go crazy with an unreasonable weight. They also only include strict pull ups in their workouts, no mention of kipping whatsoever!
I've learned that each box is different so go talk to yours and you can decide if you like what you see :)
